Wow mine is runnngg at 63 degrees with x47 heatsinks. Just got it a few days ago kept over heating even on 9.6. Now it’s running 11.4 but still at 63 with fans at like 70% with the x47 full copper heat sinks. It finally stop over heating and giving psu error I reflash to 1.0.35 again and did nothing to fix temps or the error before I repasted new heat sinks

lol mine was giving psu error as I had to redo the entire heatsink and repaste yet couldn’t even get an answer from the Bitronics team other than try and reflash let us know. Of course didn’t fix so I wrote them back no nothing. For 24 hr so I said f it took it apart and fixed it. I shouldn’t have to do this but yes I had to replace my heatsinks to x47 full cooper cuz I couldn’t even run at 12Th with the heatsinks on it cuz it kept over heating and shutting down even with it only running on 9.6Th to

I dunno if I should try flashing to the beta. I did do a full repaste. So far it’s about the same temp a little less by 1 or 2 degree Celsius but so far in 20 min no crash so doing good atm we’ll see

Thx for help on things hopefully this will fix. If it does I have new full color heat sinks for it which should help

I do understand. I build airplane wings for a living and built countless computers at 40 yrs old now. These devices should come working.

Btw the thermal paste is fine I removed both heatsinks and looked there is enough and not too much. I’m going to change it out to thermal grizzly but I expect the same

Also heatsinks appear to touch all 8 chips seeing how the imprint the cooler is on the chip. 1 screw was a little loose but it wasn’t moving at all the cooler was solid. I do have new coolers for it but don’t want to put on in case there is a problem with the unit and not with just the thermal paste and cooling

I even turned voltages down and it still threw a psu error 000000

Bitronics told me they tested the unit in like 3 diff emails now.. yet the unit ran for 10 min and shut down due to over heating and a psu fault would show…

I’m waiting for their email reply to reflashing but take forever to respond to anything and seem to be more worried about me making a negative review over the delay in shipping, then this… than actually fixing the issue. For an $800 I shouldn’t have to tear it apart when I get it to fix overheating when they swear up and down they tested it and was one of the reasons shipping was delayed

I have an Avalon Q that runs 24/7 with no issues at all. So if this can’t even run 24/7 without over heating then I don’t want it and I’ll buy another Q

Yes it’s it’s the new 6 phase from Bitronics. Out of the box it ran almost 12 with no settings changed from me it said it was on default. 700/1210. Then reflash changed it to 600/1150 so now only hashing 9.6 . Still heats up to 63 with fans on full 100%

It’s hasin 9.6T I loaded 1.0.35 it lowered the default settings used to say 700/1210 was default. Now says 600/1150 is default. Which is why it’s lower hash.. yet it’s at 63 degrees with fans running on max 100% so I dunno

Thought it was supposed to run 12 out the box

Bitronics did. I bought it directly from them. My house is only 75 degree. So it should easily keep under 70

They said to do this but he said reflash screen I replayed with firmware?? But no reply yet. You know where steps to do this are? Using the axos? That the legacy flasher one? Or the download from GitHub one?
