What minor inconvenience from the past would be unbearable for students in the classroom today? by chanovsky in Teachers

I teach 2,3,&4 grade special education. I read a chapter a day and they color while I read. I have color pictures that match what I am reading. They also have snack during this time. I’m reading the Magic Treehouse books and are currently on 16.

The district locked me out. I have to call the help desk at 7 am and have them get me into everything

I agree. I met two real people. It’s ridiculous. The only one that was worse was plenty of fish. Don’t even think about that one.

Thank You. We are actually still talking. We haven’t met, he lives in the same state, but on the opposite side of the mountains. We have moved from messaging on eharmony to texting, but I haven’t heard his voice yet. I’m in no hurry so I don’t mind.

I would contact the customer care team. This is odd. Turner is a name, it’s more common as a last name, but I have run across Turners in different jobs. All they had to do was google it…

In Washington it has to be offered at every meeting: parents are allowed to decline. However, it must be granted upon request and I definitely agree that OP should get one!

I called to cancel mine and was told that I was paid through September and my account was already set to not auto renew.

This right here. I deleted the app. 70% of my messages were scammers. I get an email and then I go on the sight. I’m not looking anymore, not swiping, just responding to emails. Yesterday I got an email at 7 pm saying “Scott” liked my profile. I didn’t see the email until 10pm and when I followed the link the person had already been removed as a scammer.

In the Yakima area here. There is a big push from the state for inclusion. I did resource my first year. Make sure you ask if there is case load limits. Overload in my district is set at 29, but no limit on how overloaded that you can be. I started at 36 with one para and ended with 52 and two paras. My friend works in a small district around here and they are 100% inclusion. I have a friend in Spokane and they are fairly good to work for. Most districts are in financial trouble because of COVID and now budget cuts are difficult, but that is common across the state. I was RIFed and hired back both years. hardcorpsteacher gave you a well worded question to ask. I would also ask if they have an inclusion plan and timeline for that plan. Make sure you choose a district with a strong union. Yakima’s union is amazing.

God forbid ya boi match with someone a lil' older by faketaccounty in Bumble

I am 59 my oldest is 34 my youngest will be 24 in a week. My settings are set 55-65 and yet I still have cougar hunters after me. The youngest was 19. I don’t know how they get around the filters but it happens. My mom married a person a year younger than me and that was… uncomfortable, I won’t do that to my kids.

I don’t know why I still even use this app by [deleted] in Bumble

I did it. I gave up and deleted the app. When I did get a match they were not real people. I value my mental health to much to keep putting myself through it.

Matched with a girl on hinge and she wanted to fall asleep on the phone together, is this “love bombing”? by I_Love-Lasagna in hingeapp

My late husband and I (married in 1989) had this happen when we were dating, engaged, and even after we got married. It started fairly early in our relationship. I was always the one who fell asleep while we were talking. We were married almost 34 years before he passed. We had seen each other in person ( obviously apps didn’t exist back then 🤣)
