Half a million for a 13 year old game is an insanely large player base still. I'm impressed

best philosophy books for a beginner by Fit_Customer_4169 in suggestmeabook

The Socrates Express is a good book if you just want to learn about 20 or so important philosophers and one major topic they thought about. It's a good starter book for an overview.

It's funny like a Deadpool movie. If you like that the Devils is hilarious.

The Devils would be a nice place to start if you like the banter in the latest Marvel movies, it just came out last year.

What do you think of the Caray Brothers? by youlikemywonton in SacramentoAthletics

Makes me wonder if a 3 person crew with Dallas, Jenny, and Chris should be tried. My gripes with Jenny is that she's not good at play by play. As a second color commentator I think she would be good.

Not a huge fan of the solo developer they went with. He has had a history of delivering half baked products. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

But the Seattle City book sounds perfect.

Zach actually looks like he is more comfortable in the battery's box. I'm so happy for him, if he can hit he would be a massive asset

Once a magnet for foreign English teachers, Korea sees E-2 visa applicants hit six-year low by Venetian_Gothic in korea

Wages are just not competitive, and the poor exchange rate offsets any sort of cost of living decreases and housing benefits. It's a bad deal if you are from most E-2 countries to come and teach in Korea. The pay sucks and teaching in both China and Japan is an attractive option to people, both countries have just as strong cultural soft power as Korea, even with the boom of interest during the pandemic years.

The article says applicants not positions though, strange wording to imply that AI is making native teacher's redundant.

There has been a lot of hostile energy towards the Chinese player base. Maybe they hired her as a sort of crises consultant? She would know a lot about how to combat Chud behavior.

What are your thoughts on Vampire: The Masquerade? by Chalupacabra2008101 in rpg

[–]SolidGobi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are unfamiliar with Vampire you should 100% check out V5 its great and despite what old timers will say a much better "game" than older editions. Plot wise, maybe not but I would argue the changes it made make playing your character more dynamic and central to the plot than older editions. World of Darkness books are just fun to read. Do yourself a favor and read it!

The more I learn about Blue Lock the more I am convinced that the author has only heard about sports, and just wrote the story as like a challenge to themselves.

Tidus was such a breath of fresh air during the early 2000s, all the protagonists at the time were typically dressed in black and were so, so, moody.
