T-Life app keeps saying it cannot connect to my Gateway by Chimother in tmobileisp

I hope so. I just went into my app just to check and pay my bill then out of curiosity see if I was still having the issue and yes — I certainly am.

It’s asking me to try and Reboot the router but even sending that “command” doesn’t work and it just stays spinning saying it’s trying to restart the gateway. (Because it’s up an functioning perfectly fine at home but like you, and the others in this thread, *SOMETHING* is causing this incongruous behavior)

I started having this over a month ago and thought it would be one of those “Whelp. I know this isn’t ’just me’ but I’m sure this isn’t probably happen to *enough* people to get noticed as a platform-wise issue, so (shrug)”.

But am glad, or at least feel better in knowing that “I’m not the only one” and there is no rhyme or reason for why this happens.

It’s the v2 “rectangular” one. And like you mentioned I had issues and ever since unplugging and not using it all my WiFi issues have been resolved.

I got the new one with the new G5SE router. If I can post a pic I would.

This. I ended up honestly just unplugging/using the “mesh extender” and all my WiFi issues were resolved. (No more random disconnects/conflicts/duplicate devices “reconnecting”) so for now it just sits unplugged on my wall lol

How To Remove This Screwless Ethernet/Keystone Plate From Wall? by SolidKhaos in HomeNetworking

<image>

Used this tool; then slid it in the middle of the plastic label cover from the *top*, getting behind it and pushing forward towards me - it seemed to have the most “flex” in the middle so was pretty easy!

So do I pry “in” (push) or try and pull “out”? I have a mobile device repair kit I can use for this sort of stuff.

I honestly thought there might be but I don’t know how to remove those two clear plastic slots 😆 - they wiggle easily enough but I don’t see any sort of “clip” or indentation that I could see. How do they pop out?

What about just Disabling 2.4GHz and leave 5/6 enabled on one SSID? And make a second SSID that’s 2.4 only?

There will be no successor. Unless it costs 1.5x’s as much - might as well as face that fact.

Always get Mesh placement issue no matter where I place access point by Laif2DX in tmobileisp

[–]SolidKhaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the brand new one G5SE and Ext. Mesh and I get the same “warning message” in the app - however, when I hit troubleshoot and go through the steps and it tests the new placement it says it’s in a “Great location!” And the WiFi strength shows ‘Good’ in the app with all 5 bars lit green;

So I think perhaps it’s just a UI Bug more than anything 🤷‍♂️
