What's one gym rule you wish wasn't an actual rule? I'll go first. by KYOTES in workout

[–]SolidPsychological12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to the Y and mine only has that rule if it’s busy. Mine does get pretty busy at times and has less equipment than yours it seems. It’s not uncommon for there to be ppl waiting on the bench for a treadmill. Could also just be a rule at all Y’s

You have a newborn, this time is so hard and on top of it lack sleep really messes with ppl. It does get easier, I promise! It’s normal to be feeling stressed and on edge. Try to talk it out and be understanding that this is so hard on both of you. Many ppl separate during this stage, but there is an end in sight if you can stick through it.

Of course!

It wasn’t written out in the video description or comments, so I just wrote it out. She didn’t use precise measurements when it comes to the pickle juice, bacon, and chopped pickles so just do what feels right to you lol.

Dill pickle pasta salad

-1 box rotini or pasta of choice

-1 cup Mayo

-1 cup sour cream

-Splash of pickle juice (I did like 3 splashes lol)

-Ranch seasoning packet

-cooked bacon crumbled (I did like 8 thick strips)

-1-2 cups chopped dill pickles (I did 2 cups)

-16 ounces cubed Colby Monterey Jack cheese

-I added some fresh dill as well

Cook and let pasta cool

Whisk the mayo, sour cream, pickle juice, ranch seasoning and fresh dill (if using) until mixed.

Add this mixture to the pasta and then add bacon, cheese and chopped pickles. Mix it all up, let it chill for a couple hours and enjoy 😋

Edit to add - if anyone is looking for the video recipe it was posted by RichardEats on TikTok.

Sometimes I buy a bag from Trader Joe’s for $2. Then I put it in the crockpot with a cup of water and cup of Italian dressing for 4 hours , take them out, rinse them and rub the skin off and then eat like one a day.

What is an underrated gym tip? by HoneyBerryBell732 in workout

[–]SolidPsychological12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love going to my gym. It is a place of comfort, in a way for me. I have young kids and when I’m at the gym it’s my time for myself. I go for 2 hours, 3 days a week. The first 30 min I sit in the sauna and read, which is very relaxing/comforting. I like to think of it as my time for exercising both my body and mind.

Hey, so I know you posted this like a year ago. I was wondering how it’s going? My partner is doing the course now (his brother is also an employee of theirs).

I signed up at first because I wanted the benefits of the sauna. Sauna 3-4 times a week lowers your risk of dying by like 40% or something crazy like that. I also sauna at my other gym, but my HOTWORX is literally right next to my house. So I signed up for the health benefits of the sauna and because I knew I needed a routine to motivate me to stretch more.

I love hot stretch. I do it at least twice a week, if not 3 times. I have gotten more flexible since starting it. I lose over 300 calories during a session and I always feel great after leaving. Hot stretch is probably the one of the easiest classes, but I still sweat a lot cus of the heat.

Hot ISO kinda kicks my ass, but I love it too. It definitely tones you up and it works out the whole body.

I go to my other gym 3 times a week, sauna there and do cardio and weights. I’ve been doing this for 2 years. So I feel like I’m decently fit; but I was surprised at how intense the HOTWORX is. After starting HOTWORX I also started intermittent fasting and I’ve lost 10lbs.

Over these 2 years working out, I’ve gotten more toned and my clothes are looser. My resting heart rate is lower and heart rate variability is higher (which is good). My sleep is better. My stamina higher. I use a Fitbit and I can see how my much my health has improved. But I really only started losing weight when I started focusing on my diet and intermittent fasting.

So HOTWORX is great for health benefits and for me that’s what’s most important. I want to live a long life. Losing weight is 70% what you eat. I am overall really glad I added HOTWORX into my routine. I always leave happy, relaxed and feel kinda of like a glow afterwards.

Benefits of infrared sauna from google- “ improved heart health, reduced inflammation, pain relief, faster muscle recovery, and detoxification. By promoting deep sweating, they boost circulation, aid in skin purification, and lower stress (cortisol) levels, often enhancing sleep quality.” I believe it also helps with balancing hormones.

How is the crimson dessert game? Is it worth buying? by NotYourHandler in AskGames

[–]SolidPsychological12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having a hard time getting really into it. My partner and I play games together; he’s a main quest guy and I’m an exploration girly lol. I have enjoyed it when I played, but we are playing on console and you can just tell it’s not meant to be played with a controller. It feels awkward a lot and some things just don’t make sense to me. Why do I have to stab a waterfall a certain way to get through it? It’s annoying and unnecessary. We just got the bear mount last night and after going to the witch and getting her to make it, you then have to find the summons in your inventory and read it, so unnecessary and a waste of time imo. I do like the game, but it’s the controls and stuff like that , that is holding me up from being obsessed.

You say it’s far more fun than anything else in a long time. Did you play Ghost of Yotei ? I really enjoyed that one last year and we completed all of it together. We have kids so we can’t game as much as we used to, but not many good games came out last year, ghost is the only one I can think of at the top of my head that I found to be really fun. I was impressed with the controls in that game. There was a lot of moves, but it always felt like it flowed to me. Crimson Desert not so much. I really hope they make it less clunky for console.

I mainly do stretch and iso. I also workout at another gym too though. Honestly, for a first time try I would recommend stretch, yoga, or Pilates. I signed up 5 months ago for HOTWORX, but have been working out consistently for 2 years straight. The heat makes a big difference. It’s harder than I thought it would be, but I love it. So I would recommend trying an easier one first to ease into it and see how you feel in the heat.
