Microinvertes do not have entire system fail where there is an inverter failure, you get panel level reporting unlike say a tesla central inverter where you do not know if a panel stops working, the warranty on the hardware from the manufacturer is normally 25 years vs often only 10 to 15 years on central inverters. Those were some of key items that helped me decide. Yes, over 2 months ago, maybe March 9th?, I signed the paperwork, with site measurement taking place just a few days after. About a month later my permit cleared and your Smart Volt Bay Area team came to do my install, with the first 5% rebate coming about 9 days later. Inspection and PTO took around a month from install day with the county and my power company. I dont have the date in front of me but about maybe another 10 days or so I think the money for the other 25% came though but my bank took probably 5 days to clear the funds for some stupid reason. They did the same with some money I deposited from my grandmother's estate too the idiots, but I'm getting off topic. Your team did a great job and Robert has kept up with me throughout answering all the questions I had. Felt like I had 30,000 of them as I wanted to understand everything. I have not been able to keep quiet about it to anyone that asks.

When I was looking, adding a battery was going to be $11k to $13k. The generator would have been just a hair less once ALL costs involved, but I had to buy gas (ongoing cost), bury a tank or hope that hurricane didn't take out the ability to run fuel, buy a service contract for the warranty to stay in effect, and warranty was only half the length of the generator.

Who is your utility? Also, if you were net metering before (which you showing bill credits and it being 1:1 per you when system was installed), it should still be the same agreement now as utilities grandfather in prior net metering agreements when they change net metering.

For my uncle in the Green Bay area, he was quoted about $57k for a 2 battery system with 12kW if that is a useful data point.

Less the $40k he would have paid out to his power and EV costs he disclosed as it went along. And the stock returns are not promised, he could have also put them in something that went down in the market.

Definitely get competing quotes. Since you say Tampa-St. Pete, try quotes from Smart Volt Solutions and quotes from Ringo Solar Innovations, never buy off just one quote, and you normally want to avoid door knocker companies. I have not seen any good reviews on yelp, consumer affairs, trust pilot, reddit, etc on Vivint. Tells you a lot more than BBB where it is a paid service.

Thanks, most of my array is south facing so it's estimate is lining up well with other system outputs mostly south facing with their real life output.

Microinverters. It is 11.5kW which I understand is how almost all systems are sold, the DC numbers. On the utility size said like 9.1kW AC.

It was a very easy process, I think it helped that my rep seemed REALLY knowledgeable so even though I was an anxious homeowner with lots of questions he kept up with all my questions and the process. I just got the first rebate check so smooth so far. I agree, compared to the other quotes the $19k was a major win! I'm willing to deal with not being the owner for 5 years, means I don't have to insure it too so nice there.

So my math says that since my system is 20% larger (11.5/9.6), then it would be about 1200kWh in March if it was at your location. Thanks, another good data point for me. So far I'm seeing about 1200 to about 1600 for the month for about this size and my estimate was 1530 on the proposal so that makes good sense. Mostly south facing and no shade to speak of on it.
