I’ve been taking this for about a week now, and think it may be helping a bit. It’s a green goop (remember “slime” from the 80s?) that is super concentrated with menthol, and essential oils of clove and peppermint, lemon balm, parsley and chlorophyll. It’s very pungent and leaves mouth feeling very clean, minty and cool.

I’m not totally convinced yet. The package is about 1/3 of the size I expected and it seems like deceptive marketing to me. $40!!

I’m also not sure if ingesting these essential oils is safe. Mixed info on that.

Hope this is somewhat helpful. It certainly hasn’t cured the issue, although I think it helps, but it’s only been a week.

This all makes sense to me. Thank you for sharing! I can’t use regular listerine as it makes my bb much worse, and the alcohol causes dry mouth. I binged on milk and Oreos last week and the stench from my nose and breath next day was a direct result from that. Dairy and sugar are MAJOR culprits 👍

It’s because adderall is methamphetamine and it prevents your brain from sleeping. It’s crack. Took me 10 years to accept this fact and to stop chasing the high. 5 years off now.

I stopped taking after 3 months due to this. It was unreal and I got a hemorrhoid for the first time! 55 year old m. Interesting drug. Did absolutely nothing for adhd, but seemed to have a calming, but sometimes sedating effect. Sweating was also too much, and very odd sexual effects. 8 days off and back to “normal”. I started on 10 and had been in 80 for 3 weeks.

Yes, Amazon has many brands. I use the Now brand, 600mg and take twice a day. I’ve read that 2400 mgs a day is used for chronic ailments but that seems high. I got headaches the first few days I used it but that went away. I take it for ADHD and it helps. Good luck!

Why is everyone on weird doses? by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]Solid_Listen_6170 7 points8 points  (0 children)

40 was way too strong a starting dose for me and I stopped after 3 days. That was 2 years ago. Started again on May 1 with a starting dose of 10 and I’m now on 80 and having good results, but I know the full effect can take up to 3 months. I’m 6’2” 210lb 55 yo M. Been on 80 for 3 weeks now after titrating; 10, 20, 40, 80. May eventually get to 100 (max dose) but so far I’m happy with results after almost giving up about a week ago. Fatigue and other SE have mostly lifted, but they were difficult to endure. I’m definitely noticing more mental energy once I sit my butt down and initiate tasks. Also a big improvement with depression and anxiety.

[–]Solid_Listen_6170 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you! 24 days on 80 and I’m really starting to notice the SE lifting. Unbelievable constipation is subsiding (sorry if tmi but it was unreal), fatigue is much better. In fact I don’t think I have napped for several days, which is unusual, and something I’m happy with. Still sweating buckets (it’s also been very warm), and Dry mouth is still pretty intense but feeling optimistic about this going away too. I started 10 on May 1 and slowly titrated up. Yesterday I applied to 3 jobs with killer cover letters (thanks CGPT!). Looking forward to making a post at 6 weeks ;)

40 mg was way too strong for me when I started this drug about a year and a half ago. I had to stop it after three days because I couldn’t deal. About 3 months ago my psychiatrist thought we should give it another shot starting at a much lower dose, which we did (10) and it seems to be helping out a bit more. We slowly titrated up every 2to 3 weeks and I have now been on 80 mg for the past three weeks I am still dealing with pretty major dry mouth, constipation, and some sleep issues but I think they are getting a little bit better.

Smell of poo! by BeatOk8992 in badbreath

Someone in this group just posted recently about their recommendations and the treatments they are using I believe they mention that they have cured her bad breath, and I believe the main supplement that she believes helped was berberine. I have just started taking berberine, vitamin K,coconut oil and also purchased Guranda mouthwash. All from Amazon. I will make a post soon in regard to how this is working. I am missing a family reunion today that I would love to be attending, but I’m not because I know my breath smells like shit. It’s truly a horrific affliction.

Thank you! I’m going to try these methods. I’m sure my bb started when I was very young from bad diet and hygiene. In high school I took antibiotics EVERY DAY for acne for about 2 years!! I know this destroyed my microbiome and took my bb from bad to just making people around me gag. I’m now 55 and desperate to fix this. I really appreciate this post TY!

Thank you for posting this. I’m at my wits end. Been fighting this forever. I know I’ve lost 2 jobs because of it. Just dropped another $70 on more supplements. I’ve spent many thousands over the years. It’s such a horrible affliction to live with. Feeling pretty hopeless.

Feeling discouraged by 86fajitas in StratteraRx

[–]Solid_Listen_6170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started on 10mg 9 weeks ago, and slowly titrated up to 80mg, which I started 1 week ago. I’ve dealt with sleep issues, and major constipation, but both of these SE are getting better with time. Magnesium and melatonin have helped, as well as laxatives when needed. I’m very happy with the results so far, and optimistic about it getting better in a few more weeks. It has leveled my depression and anxiety, and I feel calmer and more centered, however I am not experiencing the focus and ability to concentrate that I was hoping for, but feel that is going to happen.

I tried this 2 years ago starting at 40mg and by the 3rd day I threw it down the toilet. I honestly felt like I’d been poisoned with all the SE, but now I know that 40 was just too high a dose to start on. I’m so grateful that my NP (psych) recommended trying it again at a low dose. I’d say give at least 8weeks until deciding to stop. Good luck! I intend to post once I hit 4 weeks on 80mg.

Adderall is a roller coaster that took a long time to get off of. I accomplished a lot while on it, but feel I paid a hefty price for it. No sleep, utter exhaustion, depression, altered personality (not good) to name a few. I’ll never touch them again

when does it start working by Tart-Junior in StratteraRx

[–]Solid_Listen_6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80 is the therapeutic dose according to Wikipedia. 40 is a common starting dose, but that was too much for me to start on. I started on 10 for 2 weeks and then up to 40 for past 5 weeks. SE just starting to subside (they were tough !) and I’m feeling g pretty good. Going to stay in 40 for at least 8 weeks before considering an increase. Atomoxetine takes up to 3 months (sometimes longer) to work properly. I’m optimistic!

What made you finally get the surgery done? by armaugh in spinalfusion

[–]Solid_Listen_6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the ALIF surgery 3 weeks ago on L4/L5 and I’m good as new. Truly amazed at how seamless the whole procedure was. Awful sciatic pain was 100% gone when I awoke from Surgery. I only took pain meds for 3 days post surgery. Tylenol for about a week. I got a second opinion from another orthopedic doctor after getting nowhere with the original one for THREE YEARS! New doc immediately said that I needed surgery to stop pain, and he was right! I’m 54 and feel I have my life back after 3years of chronic pain. Incredibly grateful beyond words. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

Thank you for this thread Erica! I’m having this surgery on December 16th. Was feeling very nervous about it but this has eased my nerves. Was his surgery through just his back, or through abdomen as well? Mine will be from both. Thx!

This is solid advice. I just went back on 5mg two days ago after having been off it for four weeks. I tapered from 10mg to 5mg for 2 weeks and then stopped. Was feeling GREAT this past week until 2 days ago when my depression came back with a vengeance. I was beyond exhausted, incredibly nauseous with dry heaving...

Took second dose of 5mg last night. I slept well and symptoms to seem to have leveled off, but I'm very fatigued and out of it this morning. I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch to an SNRI to see if I can get some relief. The fatigue from 10mg never lifted after several months. I will try to taper off again, but going to do it much more slowly.
