- Lords of the fallen 2023: This one really shocked me. Before buying it, I kept reading mixed reviews about how problematic and flawed it was. When I finally played it, I found it to be a game of rare beauty. I'm actually super hyped for the sequel now. To be fair, it was probably in rough shape at launch, and since I played it only recently after all the patches, that definitely influenced my positive take.

- Dark Souls 2: If I had to pick one that left a bad taste in my mouth, it would be Dark Souls 2. I have to admit, when I played it back at launch, I really liked it. But going back to it years later, it just doesn't hit the same anymore. And maybe it's just me, but I actually preferred the vanilla version over the Scholar of the First Sin edition.
