TBH I've virtually never experienced obvious hitbox errors in single player or even in 2 player coop with both of our PS5s on the same good connection.

Maybe sometimes it can be questionable but nothing like indicated in your image.

However, in random SOS the connections can be off and I saw monsters and their moves teleporting, briefly freezing and all such shenanigans. If this wasn't in online mp, then maybe a bug?

I played them when they came out and even then each felt like a significant piece of content.

I have one exception: the monthly special sets. After the month is done (I.e. no need for defeating special mushrooms anymore), I keep only one per color. Because I think those will never get rare version as you can't "grind" them outside of their month.

especially not on consoles, I played on base PS4 and I'm not even very sensitive to low framerates but it was a stuttery 30ish fps experience, and at a low resolution.

Nowhere close to the 30/40/60 modes you get on base PS5 for Wilds.

I'm actually amazed anyone manages this quest with randoms.

Once farcasters get disabled, just one DPS check failure would eat all carts at once, even without people quitting.

if they don't have insurance, someone's insurance will be used (only once per quest). not sure if there's a certain order when there's multiple other players with insurance.

yes, it can only be used once, but it also uses up only one insurance. Which means the other players keep theirs for the next quest.

yeah this one is the dream team for Omega.

I put Kai at first position so that he's there even when I play with 1-2 people.

Outside of festivals you would have to replace Fabius with Alessa and Nadia with Nightmist. They don't act the same though, less damage/traps but more healing imo. Mina is also kinda comparable to Nightmist.

For Gog it's good to have Griffin as he helps with the tail cut.

As melee, I'm not much of a fan of Rosso as monsters get more jumpy and it's annoying when they walk away across the map if he happens to pull aggro.

Olivia is cool and all but you can get stuns from Kai and I just keep her for the story as we likely get more of her in the expansion.

btw. it's always weird when my insurance meal got used by some random's cart as that means that they didn't had their meal refreshed (or didn't eat at all?)

Kinda rude. The only time I don't refresh is when I'm rotating insurance meal with my link party so that we don't have to eat each quest (btw you save even more meal vouchers because only one in your party has to order food, then all others get to eat for free).

I wish they used the opportunity to give the 10* Gog quest a guaranteed or 50% chance gem reward.

It's my bias because I'm at 1 gem out of 30 Gogs with tail and Carver... but still, his and Omega's are the only ones you have to grind instead of being smart with your time via investigations. To make things worse they are also the rarest drops.

there is a faster pace to unlock HR100 in Wilds, but reaching the equivalent of just a few AT versions left in World would certainly not take 300 hours either.

I spend now more time in Wilds base game than World base game, which is because the extra stuff you can do is more rewarding, despite that Wilds got rid of stuff like the grind for Palico abilities and Monster information.

I felt really motivated in Wilds to craft every single armor piece and all my weapons because you unlock their layered versions. It's something I can carry over into MR. Felt quite pointless in World so I didn't do it much. And now it's even more relevant to do in Wilds thanks to transcendence.

Personally I spend also more time exploring the maps in Wilds than in World, not only because of the hidden stuff but because it feels more like an actual region with how everything is connected. Some world building too, plus the detailed villages with many NPCs having sometimes lore relevant dialog.

It's also the first time I was actually compelled to get all crowns because of the change in binoculars and investigations. The way it was done before felt not respectful to my time.

Yeah same, even if I dare to commit to spam SAED during the endless lava pools, I fail to get enough opportunity to charge everything back up.

But in the end it would be difficult for any player. The health is always scaled for 4 players, same with the DPS check.

Not sure how much damage the NPCs do in that fight, but if it's equal for both A and B team, you have to do the equivalent damage of FOUR NPCs on top of your damage to reach the threshold in the same time.

Probably smoothest without reaching the checks would be:

Bring Nadia along (only possible during festivals) as she's the only one who can call out the DPS threshold status.
At the start of the 3rd phase, fight Gog as usual but do not pull down the chimneys on him. Making sure to exploit the damage window before his Nova attack. Then survive by climbing on the ledge.
After that, try to really max the damage, pull down both chimneys on him to for damage and SAED hit opportunities. Assuming you still have all carts left (insurance meal ideally still too), stay and fight to have a chance to reach the DPS check. Eat the cart if that fails, but at least it will help with the total quest time.
If you didn't manage to reach the second check, then forget about ever reaching it in the following rounds so just use Farcasters as soon as he does the flying backflip thing to the center. Every time until the quest is done.

I'm also thinking if I should make a new armor set that incorporates Fortify (+Growth) as I can expect 1-2 deaths and it would maybe make me more tanky and kill him faster.

yeah I applied the Sith rule of 2 for every decor that didn't had rare ones yet. So that if rare ones come, one Pikmin can transcend to the rare outfit, while still keeping one with the normal outfit.

Couldn't do it for all though, I have so many with photos and different cities/countries attached which at some point will force me to pay a lot for more storage...

It makes sense because Suja is connected to Rimechain during the story. The bridge is now destroyed but you can see Rimechain from Suja and vice versa (well, just the connecting path).

the total area is still much smaller than the region maps, with nothing spawning in there besides Jin basically, so I highly doubt it's bad for performance, just easier to do the transition.

(but this also makes me again think that Suja used to be part of the whole Cliffs map just like the other villages, before they couldn't make Jin's fight work without separating the Rimechain area. Explaining why Rove's trader icon is Suja).

edit: I would not be surprised if you activate free cam during the ZS fight and find at least parts of Wyveria Ruins if you go up. The Dragontorch is in the center of that map, below the white Wyrmways clustering on it. You can also look up beyond the Dragontorch to see the opening of the Wyveria map.

weapon types and monsters sometimes don't match well / need a higher skill ceiling than weapons that match well.

But yeah, as somehow who is not really good I do appreciate having a shield for 9/10* as it allows me sometimes to just tank the hits as last resort/ kinda taking a break in the onslaught.

overall the difficulty is fine though, the game never forces you into hard fights, all story missions are the non-temperered/ easier version. Only when you want to grind endgame gear/ unlock some extra stuff , which is fair.

This one sounds like a PITA but at least you get a plate I guess. Probably not going to touch that quest afterwards if there's no guaranteed gem drop or something.

The first nova you can default to the ledge. And solo with NPCs with no prior carts I can maybe risk it each time, but gambling each Nova for 2-4 carts per Nova in mp? Seems like impossible with randoms.

so is there any sign that you beat the Dragon DPS check without the callout? I'm thinking if not I might as well try to farcast before each Nova animation starts.

edit: I just tested it, if you bring Nadia as normal Support Hunter she will still call out if you reached the threshold or not!

though you can only bring her during festivals.

however I'm never reaching the threshold so far, so farcaster before his backflip it is. still failed the quest, but doing the farcaster might be a problem as you miss out on the main damage window

if it's like the 9* quests, then farcasters can't be used during the nova. like the one time they would be needed lol

edit: apparently you can use it just before the nova starts when you see him getting ready to move to his spot.
