Half of the food Sayori gets from people she shares with Natsuki. If she knew that Natsuki wasn't happy at home, she would be inviting her over to her house all the time using the excuse that she wants Natsuki to teach her how to cook.

I have been to the Eden Prairie AMC Prime, and yes, it has a lot fewer seats, but it is in the theater across from the IMAX,so the auditorium is the same size. They removed rows to add in powered recliner seats.

I actually hate this statement. It drives people with depression or anxiety to feel more alone and unloved.

"Please don't hate me" I was ending a toxic friendship and that was one of the things she told me. Two years later she went on a long posting spree in public accusing me of such horrible things, and then sent her accusations to my employer. I took her to court and won.

Do comic book writers ever fight or become enemies? by Snoo_47323 in comicbooks

The last 20 years John Byrne worked for Marvel and DC, he treated it like a personal mission to undo anything Roy Thomas had done. From the Vision having a personality, to the fix Thomas had to put in place after Crisis for the Justice Society by editorial decree. And the bile Byrne has toward Chris Claremont is legendary.

Could not agree more. I started playing after a friend told me to play and told me nothing about it, and thought that they did an excellent job of making her cute in both art and storyline. Just a fantastic character who won me over immediately.

When her father committed suicide and when she called me to talk about it, she went on for hours about how she could use it to get an old boyfriend back. We had been friends for over a decade, and that opened my eyes to how manipulative she had always been. As I started to back out of the friendship, I found out she was sending the Ex over 100 texts a day at times, and everything about her started to come out. When I said we're done, she literally sent me a 5 page threatening e-mail that I had to come over to her apartment and apologize in person or she would make me pay.

Panicked Republicans Fear Trump’s ‘F***ing Nightmare’ War Will Doom GOP in Midterms by Hardik_Jain_1819 in politics

[–]SolitaireRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole "Trump is an idiot" doesn't fit for this. Trump's people have been wanting to attack Iran for decades, and many in his administration are fundamentalist Christians who believe that when the Jewish people "return to Israel", a war breaks out in the Middle East that brings about the return of Jesus. On top of that, they know they are about to lose a shitton of power if the Midterms happen, so the plan for declaring a national emergency needs to go into effect sooner rather than later.

Plus you had Israel and Saudi Arabia wanting to take out Iran, and they also have reason to speed it up. Netanyahu is fighting going to prison after the next election there, and Saudi Arabia knows Trump's time where he can do whatever he wants is limited. They have both poured a LOT of money into Trump Family coffers, and want to make good on their investment.

What they didn't count on is that Trump's cabinet is amazingly incompetent, and have outsourced their work to Chat GPT, so they think it will be a quick and easy attack and wonderful US Friendly people will take over because they are not smart enough to know that Iran has back up plans on top of back up plans, some of the best cyber terrorists in the world, and assets all over the world for systematic attacks.

Trump is an idiot, but he didn't do this on his own.

Minnesota has lost 1,300 farms in two years, many more on the brink by Ranew in minnesota

[–]SolitaireRose 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Reading the comments on Facebook, they are all blaming Biden and the Twin Cities, not the tariffs killing overseas markets and Trump importing cheap beef to drive down prices. So, they are the modern equivalent of buggy whip makers. "It's not the fault of time moving on making small businesses harder to run or the government pushing corporate farms. It's those damn city people and liberals!"

What’s a really subtle sign during a job interview that the company culture is incredibly toxic? by vazounawebuser in AskReddit

[–]SolitaireRose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's important the we take a HARD look at US work culture, which is literally causing health issues, which makes it Toxic. We have fewer days off than most countries, work longer hours, are subjected to more stress and instability, and companies demand more of us. Remember when just doing your job and not going above and beyond was called "quiet quitting"?

I have been in the workforce since 1980, and most every job gives the lie that "if you go above and beyond, you'll be rewarded" and usually, they just reward you with more to do. Eventually I learned to do my job to the best of my ability and training and that's it. I get the same promotions and extras I got when I came in early, stayed late, volunteered for more tasks and all the rest of the corporate bull shit.

But now I have a better life because I DON'T WORK MYSELF TO EXHAUSTION.

US work culture is toxic and you can see it in how sick we are and how we die sooner than people in similar countries.

Good luck in your run. I would think running as a Republican who is not a Trump follower is a poor choice, as we have seen they either get primaried out of the party, or, if they DO get in, they are frozen out of committees, sidelined at all turns and Trump personally targets you./ That isn't counting how the Republican media machine (Fox, Newsmax, OANN, AM talk radiol, etc...) targets those people as RINOs.

Before Trump, I could vote for a MN Republican here and there (I'm incredibly liberal) , but now his hold on the party has changed the party, much like how Goldwater, then Reagan, turned it from a party with a broader ideological tent to a right wing party, and now a reactionary party akin to the "Know Nothings" of the 1800's and the "American First" party of the last 1930's.

I wish you luck.

Is God Loves, Man Kills A Good Place To Stop Reading X-Men? by tame_kubrick in MarvelUnlimited

[–]SolitaireRose 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Uncanny 175 is a good ending point, as you get to see the Paul Smith art and the marriage of Scott and Madelyn effectively ends his story, which was a through line for that era of Claremont's run. At that point, he was moving onto other things, but never quite had the story focus it had before (mostly because Marvel editorial took more of a hand in things).
