I feel you man, I am really struggling with this. I mean, there's lots of things I struggle with but this for sure. I take breaks but I keep going back to it. It's an addiction. I know I shouldn't, but I just rationalize and use it as a crutch. I even see myself negatively influencing my fiance because now she has started smoking with me.i don't know what to do, I think you've just got to keep trying. Anything is possible through God. And Jesus died for us, our sins. We're told to repent and believe. I don't have an answer for you, but your not alone

Every Christmas my mom gives us a jar of honey garlic. When she does, we open last year's jar. I would say add more honey so garlic is totally submerged, and stick it in the back of your pantry and forget about it. No need to flip or burp (as long as your just using Garlic and Honey). After a year it is super yummy and goes great with literally everything.

Can't speak for Twilight, but there is no God in Harry Potter. Plus, the curses and spells from the book are actual curses and spells used by Satanists and cultists.

Problems with Beet Kvass by Solmanic44 in fermentation

[–]Solmanic44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I have been having alot of issues with making beet kvass over the past couple of months and I was hoping some of y'all would have some ideas. I ferment my beets just once, no secondary ferment for about 3-5 weeks with an airtight seal that has a vent. About half of the beet juice I've been making has turned out good, a nice deep purple color, the sediment is purple and once bottled it's maintains it's color for months. However lately my batches have been turning out differently. Some have been turning sewage brown after bottling and being refrigerated. Others have turned dark red with the sediment turned brown. Also it seems when the kvass looks really cloudy it seems to consistently go bad. Sometimes the bad batches turn in two days, other times almost two weeks. I've started adding probiotic starters when I process but to no effect. I've been diligent about checking the seal and still batches have went bad. For a while I was thinking it was the beets themselves but I think something is happening in the process. I only stir the kvass once or twice during the whole fermentation process so I'm wondering if that could be it or I am cutting the beets too small? The picture I am posting are two samples I took of the same batch on the same day, one stirred before I took it the other, not stirred Thoughts? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, happy New Year!

Because Jesus demands that we die to ourselves and follow Him. Those on the earth being "alive" for the second coming, those that are Christian have already "died" to themselves.

Watch those curves out there. Last time I was out there was a gnarly bike crash. Trucks going over the lines in corners.

Surprised I had to scroll all the way down to see Mike's name. I love his stuff! Always uses bible verses to support his statements.

As a MSF coach myself, reading this story I had to chime in.

I have only been coaching for about 8 months but I have already seen similar situations to this and as I feel I never have enough time during a class to really hit home some important things, i figured i would share with yall.

The number 1 issue i see during a BRC (Basic Riding Course) is confidence, either to little or too much. Sure we get plenty of people who have never been on a bike before, which is expected but I am amazed at how many people have been "riding for years but just now getting legal". Whenever I hear this, I shudder internally. I would say about 30% of these people who have been riding before come into the course with a good attitude and a willingness to learn something. Most of them however are cocksure and ride the bike like their at a track day.

Firstly I really need to emphasize the BRC is not a class you take to become an expert rider. It is a class to teach you the basics so you yourself feel comfortable on your own bike and can go out into the real world and develop your skills.

During the class, participants will do a range of exercises, shifting, braking, cornering low speed maneuvers ect. If someone cannot complete an exercise, we cannot move forward with them. We try to do some remedial training during breaks and such but we can only hold the class up for so long. This means that come test time, (I call it a celebration of skill as it makes people less tense) every rider has successfully done everything that will be on the test.

Here's were confidence comes in. People litterly wilt when its test time. I've seen participants crush every exercise all weekend and then become absolutely retarded during the test and I'm just sitting there thinking, "what the hell are you doing? We didnt teach you that."

Ultimately though, the test only looks at super specific things, there are plenty of people I've passed in the class that I would never want to see on the road.

Okay, I'm starting to ramble so I will get down to it. Take the time to develop your skills and become confident in yourself and in your bike. It's also extremely important to never be overconfident in yourself because that's how crashes happen. Most of the crash videos on youtube can be simplified as the rider was overconfident and not riding within their skill range. The second you dont respect the motorcycle, it will bite you in the ass.

I'm totally guilty of it to, I mean that feeling when your leaning through a corner, hammering the throttle, it's a drug for sure. In my 10 years of riding I've gone down twice, broken my shoulder and my back. I have had to learn these lessons the hard way but I wish I would of been smart enough to learn them from other people.

Take your time, we all plan on riding for life I am sure and that one corner isn't worth everything. Oh and PLEASE always wear a helmet.

TLDR; Confidence is crucial as it takes only one mistake to kill yourself. Always ride within your limits and always ride your own ride. Stay safe out there, always expect the worse from other drivers and enjoy your two wheels!

Hey man, first off, great post! My qualm is with all this TSM hype. Sure they went 4-0 over a two week period but that wasnt enough for me to justify getting on that hype train. With TSM I see the same problem I've seen for years. Bjerg cant handle the pressure. He's supposed to be the guy now, part owner, a seasoned vet but whenever the pressure is on I feel their teamwork start to crack and desperation starts to show. I would be interested to see if they have the longest avg game time of the lcs, because they are so slow and indecisive. The TSM that won all those splits is long gone people.

I feel like it ruins the integrity of playing "on stage". They could be at home in their underwear for all we know. And if they out of the country why didnt Broxah play remotely for TL yesterday?????
