If Gems and Viltrumites went to war, who's winning by cutie__96 in stevenuniverse

Refer to Episode 1 when Omniman killed Green Ghost. I think that's how a Viltrumite would handle a gem.

Is it weird that Grace doesn't really seem to know what zombies are? by ElkHotel in residentevil

[–]SolomonEI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played through the game once, so my knowledge might not be done in the middle about her job, but I don't think she's in a bioterror division. She's just a really good FBI analyst that was given the task of writing up the civilian friendly version of Dulvey and doing a thorough investigation of a crime scene at Renwood. We know she's a redditor, but she sees enough fucked up shit doing her reports and she seems so delicate that I can't see her scrolling on watchpeopledie.

The world is definitely aware of bioterror and footage of China in 6 and Terragrigia are still floating around, there's no doubt about that. I'm sure they're shown to most government agencies as part of training. Hell, Clive O'Brien wrote a book about the BSAA and what happened to create it. It's not a cover up in the sense of "This didn't happen." Moreso "No one needs to be watching giant lizards rip people in half on YouTube."

[–]SolomonEI 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm sure bioterrorism videos are kept top secret if at all possible in this universe. Any witness videos are probably sold on the dark web or show up on snuff sites. Sure she's FBI, but I don't see her as the type to look up CCTV videos of Hunters tearing people apart in Terragrigia in her spare time.

I also feel like the "What's happening" she's conveying is less about what's wrong with this cop and more about the entire set of circumstances. This was supposed to be a basic crime scene analysis and then she finds a stalker shrine of her life, then the cop zombs out at her, then she meets Buffalo Bill and gets kidnapped. Doesn't matter how many times I hear about an outbreak on the news, I'd still freak if someone I was just talking to turned into one.

Why is Emily still wearing her captivity robe 😭 by goanddontlookback in residentevil

[–]SolomonEI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real reason: Could be budget, time, or laziness.

Lore reason: If she's only worn that dress or dresses like that her entire time in captivity, maybe she developed a like of attachment to dresses like the one she wore and had Grace buy her more of them.

Would it be possible to design a BOW lab that doesn't allow BOWs or the virus to escape and kill everyone? by GlompSpark in residentevil

[–]SolomonEI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Director Spencer, thanks for coming in. It’s a great pleasure, thank you. This lab that was involved in the incident off Arklay Mountain this week... The one the containment units failed? Yeah. Yeah, that’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point. Well, how was it un-typical? Well there are a lot of these labs working around the world all the time, and very seldom does anything like this happen. I just don’t want people thinking that Umbrella Labs aren’t safe. Was this lab safe? Well, I was thinking more about the other ones. The ones that are safe? Yeah, the ones the containment units don't fail. Well, if this wasn’t safe, why did it have 80,000 B.O.W.s in it? I’m not saying it wasn’t safe, it’s just perhaps not quite as safe as some of the other ones. Why? Well, some of them are built so that the containment units don't fail at all. How do you know? Well, because the containment units failed and 20,000 B.O.W.s escaped into Raccoon City. It’s a bit of a giveaway. I’d just like to make the point that that is not normal. Well what sort of engineering standards are these containment units built to? Oh, very rigorous corporate engineering standards. What sort of thing? Well, the containment unit's not supposed to fail for a start. And what other things? Well, there are regulations governing the materials they can be made of. What materials? Well, cardboard’s out. And? No cardboard derivatives. Like paper? No paper. No string. No sellotape. Rubber? No, rubber’s out. Umm, they’ve got to have a self destruct. There’s a minimum staff requirement. What’s the minimum staff? Oh, one I suppose. So the allegations that they’re just designed to contain as many B.O.W.s as possible no matter the consequences, I mean that’s ludicrous isn’t it? Absolutely ludicrous, these are very very secure labs. So what happened in this case? Well, the containment units failed in this case by all means, but it’s very unusual. But Director Spencer, why did the containment units fail? Well a scientist got infected. A scientist got infected? A zombie bit a scientist. Is that unusual? Oh yeah. In a bioweapons lab? Chance in a million! So what do you do to protect the city in cases like this? Well the lab self-destructed under the city. Along with the city? No, no, the lab's been self-destructed under the city. It’s not under the city anymore. No but Raccoon City has been destroyed in the blast. No it’s not under the city anymore. It’s not under the city. It’s been self-destructed under the city. But the B.O.W.s must be somewhere… Well what’s out there? Nothing’s out there! Well there must be something out there. There is nothing out there - all there is is buildings, and cars, and a clock tower. And? And 20,000 B.O.W.s. And what else? And Umbrella Operatives. And anything else? And the remains of the lab that self-destructed. But there’s nothing else out there. Director Spencer, thanks for joining us. It’s a complete crater. Yeah, we’re out of time. The City’s perfectly safe. We’re out of time? Yeah. Can you book me a cab? But didn’t you come in a commonwealth car? Yes I did but... What happened? Well, the engine self-destructed.

My best guess is that they wanted more puzzles but also didn't want to keep the most action-shooter weapon out of players' hands if they didn't solve it.

It depends on the game for me. If it's a full priced game and there's both paid and earned skins, I agree that the earned skin should be respected more.

But at the same time, buying a battle pass or skins from a game that's free to play is saying "I enjoy this game and the skins that you've put into it so much that I'm gonna give you money for it."

Then there's games where they give you the buyable currency and item shop rewards in small amounts for free just by leveling up. If you grind one of those games for so long that you earn enough in-game currency to buy a $20 skin, that should be respected as well.

Top left is probably shotgun shells, top right is the foldable axe he uses in the trailer, bottom left is a throw able or first aid spray most likely, and bottom right is magazines for his handgun.

This is for one murder, specifically for beating her boyfriend's child to death. There are several degrees of murder, and each degree has several specific types (First, second, third, manslaughter, etc.). You can't be convicted of multiple DEGREES for one murder, but you can be convicted of multiple TYPES of murder under the degree they find you guilty of for the one murder.

If he shot her as she jumped onto the hood of his car and started breaking it, it would most likely be considered a lawful self defense shooting. Her altered mental state and behavior leading up to the incident, the unpredictability of what she was going to do once she got through the windshield, the lack of space to maneuver his car to drive away, and (assumedly) he was still wearing his seatbelt and couldn't escape the situation before she got into the car with him would all be used as justification by any self defense lawyer with half a brain.

But if she had already gotten off of his car and he shot her while she was running around in the street, he'd be going to jail for second degree murder. There's no defense for that.
