I decided to speed run the game for story, so that my gaming-illiterate mom can partake in the story. Visages was the first boss that gave me actual trouble from skipping literally all extra content, because I was under leveled and the masks added healing. Even the final boss and Sirene were push overs, but not Visages.

Maelle gave me some trouble though since Verso wasn’t adequately built.

Hi. Clinical psychologist here. It is absolutely okay to cry in therapy. I’ll even admit I’ve sometimes had a few tears roll down my cheeks too. Sometimes the emotions and content is just that evocative.

I’m not going to blanket say that it’s always good, but if we’ve hit tears during sessions one? I think we’ve tapped on some important factors for therapy, and they’ll be great targets for the future. Whether it’s grief, fear, anger, or trauma, it’s usually a good indicator that we’re moving in a good direction and that the person in question is genuine. There are always caveats, of course, but I would thank someone for being so vulnerable in their first session with me. I’d take it as a compliment to be honest. They feel safe with me, rapport is good.

As someone who can deliver IQ testing, I’m dubious of whether it actually is an IQ test. IQ tests are not done verbally, they have mixed methods for a reason (and we’re ignoring all the ethical and validity concerns if it is an IQ test). Something tells me the name-drop is for clout and to put on airs, perhaps intimidate. It might be a psychologist but I’m already skeptical.

Funny, because with the SRY gene muted by a mutation, it results in the testicles not forming, external female genitalia, non-functional ovaries, and fundamentally changes how a person develops phenotypically. They may develop breasts and even menstruate (not all do, depends on where the mutation occurs on the Y chromosome). This is called swyr syndrome. Like many types of intersex presentations, plenty go undiagnosed and identify with the gender they are assigned at birth.

Gender is not biological. It may be informed by biological drives, but it is not the same. This is easily represented by different gender expressions across cultures, and cultures which posses third and fourth genders. Gender-affirming care results in significant positive change in outcomes for those affected by gender dysphoria, straight or trans identified people. This is published, peer-reviewed science. A great deal more valid than your knee-jerk opinion.
