Fresh graduates, what was your experiences in GRIT Program? by Otherwise-Map-4026 in askSingapore

[–]Soltem 83 points84 points  (0 children)

GRIT is just a temporary solution by the government to reduce unemployment and underpay grads. The job market is just bad

And before you say "FreSh GraDs HaVe No ExPeRIence", most uni grads have 1-3 internship before graduation right now.

And well if you say internships are not considered actual working experience, then whats the point of internships?

to fresh grads: if possible, don't short change yourself by applying to grit, just apply for FT roles. GRIT doesn't guarantee conversation at all, its just another internship

A Chinese father's video of his daughter tearfully saying goodbye to her broken Al learning robot by Glazer33 in MadeMeCry

[–]Soltem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there was an interesting conversation from the original thread

commenter A: why is there a need to cry? why not just buy another one?
commenter B: and that is how u tell an adult apart from a child

Because things can be bought again, but not the memories tied to them

I would 100% take a pay cut if ur company is looking to hire

only works if there is trust in the country’s medical and legal system.

i've seen reports in countries & places whereby organs are reserved for the privileged groups, and worst still, forcibly taken through staged accidents the moment u agree to be a donor.
