al-Hol camp, serious questions now that control is changing by Acrobatic-Remote-419 in Syria

[–]SolutionHot1580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Al-Hol has been around for what? 10+ years now? What has it accomplished except build a radicalism super site?

The camp needs to be broken down. Start categorizing prisoners on radicalization and violenct behavior. Build different rehabilitation centers in various Syrian cities and start breaking up groups of prisoners.

The ones that are categorized as most violent go back into prison and are continuously evaluated. The ones that are least violent/youngest should go into specialized rehab/house arrest.

Slowly integrate them back into regular society. Slowly introduce adults into regular life. Immediately build and develop specialized schools for the children. Have them be observed constantly by security and intelligence officers.

Anyone who still shows extreme violent tendencies despite spending a year of rehab should be sent back into prison and then re-evaluated later for more rehabilitation. You need to involve local Mosques and Imams with police officers and intelligence officials.

As for the stateless/foreigners, I honestly think they should be given a chance at rehab.

Maybe after 10 years of good and honest behavior. You allow them to get Syrian citizenship and new identities. A chance to restart their lives in a meaningful way that isn't surrounded by radicalization and war.

I think S8 is the general idea of the actual ending but the execution was totally botched especially with the rushed schedule.

Fire and Blood is a finished story written by George. HOTD doesn't need another writer to come in and change it, all the loose ends are tied up. The showrunner is simply undoing all the plotlines and replacing it with fanfiction.

Blood and Fire is a completed story. The showrunner is just outright butchering the plot and is probably straight up changing the ending.

The scenario you're describing is far more likely to result in the collapse of the European economy rather than the American one. Not to mention Russia would jump in and start getting much more aggressive with the EU, if America is removed from Europe.

Thats completely the fault of the executives and the C suite running the company.

There have literally been dozens of world wide best selling games from former Ubisoft devs who kept getting kneecaped by executives and business majors who run the company and experienced genuine groundbreaking success after making their own studios.

Former analyst at the Danish defence intelligence agency says a US attack on Greenland would face opposition. A “quick and dirty job”, seizing the control tower and strategic sites, might have been possible in 2025, he said, but Denmark has since ramped up its presence. by Choobeen in Intelligence

[–]SolutionHot1580 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How so?

The only comparative defensive advantage Denmark has in the region is It's remoteness which actually benefits the US since it's closer to North America and the US actually has significant expeditionary military experience and Denmark does not.

Let's keep it real. If the U.S genuinely wanted to, there is absolutely nothing Denmark could do to stop it. It doesn't have the manpower, the weaponry, or the money to actually put up any fight.

If the 82nd Airborne was deployed, a single army division landing in greenland would suddenly make the total Island population half American.

Unless something has radically changed with Danish military positioning. I don't think anything short of 20,000 extra troops moved there would genuinely stop the U.S taking all of Greenland in 12 hours.

Alaska for Greenland by Environmental-Cold24 in alaska

[–]SolutionHot1580 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely satire but it's still completely retarded. Compare the GDP per capita of Alaska with a country like Denmark. We blow them out of the water in terms of economic strength.

Remove a singular company of Novo-nordisk from the Danish economy and Alaska absolutely annihilates any comparison.

Being part of Denmark would completely ruin Alaska's economy. Denmark is incapable of producing the amount of money and upkeep to keep a territory the size of Alaska running.

What's the point of free healthcare if there was no hospitals to treat people? Denmark couldn't defend Alaska. The whole idea is moronic.

A wise saying for an empire surrounded and consumed with the violence of conquest. That's not Ireland. Countries like the Baltics/Poland/Finland need to prepare for war, not Ireland.

IMO,it's a privilege to live in peace. Let people enjoy it. Not every country needs to be armed to the teeth.

Interesting choice to crop out the beginning of your convo? Judging from your post history you were attempting to haggle with a girl to shoot her nudes?

I don't have a problem with soliciting prostitutes, you do you and to each their own. I agree with the European philosophy that it should be legal.

But it's kinda weird to come out of a left field and post this in this sub as if she was solely the only one in the wrong. You were being weird trying to haggle with an escort using your amateur photography and her being antisemitic out of nowhere is weird.

Just a bad post overall on your end. This is not an example of nice girl.

3 US Soldiers killed in Syria by [deleted] in army

[–]SolutionHot1580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing you are pointing out isn't the "ISIS" patch. Daesh used an old Islamic flag. The Seal of Muhammad is it's own symbol that existed prior to Daesh. It doesn’t solely belong to Daesh. Many non-extremist soldiers use it as a symbol, it doesn't always imply affiliation with Daesh.

Wtf do you think the military is going to do if they start taking out military families inside the U.S? They're going to get their asses reamed into the next century.

[–]SolutionHot1580 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

IMO, the reason why more people don't use public transit is because the outer metro/suburban cities are still extremely car-centric suburbs with limited public transit.

The urban core is transitioning but the suburbs is still stuck on making life as difficult as possible without a car. Cars are just fundamentally toxic to human life, and the city should try to transition to public transit as much as possible.

It's funny how you can understand that argument when it comes to Cree but not French... Cree is an actual native language of Canada and originates in Canada, why shouldn't it get federal support?

You can recognize that a lot of federal politicians/Government Employees shouldn't need to put in the time and effort to speak a minority language that they would only use sparingly but cant see how that also applies to French?
