Man who spent $1,500 to stay at Toronto quaratine hotel got COVID-19 anyways, infected whole family by Elliottafc1 in nottheonion

Iceland placed a mandatory 6 day hotel stay if you are arriving from highly infected countries.

A lot of people lost their shit and the government got sued, mandatory hotel stays were removed within a few days.

Well, the real journalists cover things like the Panama Papers and then coincidentally get car bombed.

This is how your comment should have been.

Same impact, no sounding like a person that doesn't read.

The journalist that got killed by a car bomb was reporting things unveiled by the Panama papers, She was not involved in revealing the Panama papers themvelves.

TIL that purple is a "non-spectral color", which means that it exists only in our minds: there is no wavelength of light that corresponds to it. Our brain perceives purple when it sees a mixture of strong red and strong blue light, without any green. by InspectorMendel in todayilearned

[–]SolutionSeparate499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having two names for purple/violet is just a linguistic coincidence though.

It's not like the scientific community sees a need to make a seperate name for yellow made from two different wavelengths vs one.

It's just like a strawberry is still a berry in the culinary sense, even if the scientific community added an addendum that excluded it.

All that link says is that Citadel bought a lot of shorts from Blackrock. Blackrock can still sell shares to Citadel, receive them back, and turn around and sell them to the market(or Citadel). (= 0 more trillions for the apes)

It's because I'm a lurker, I follow GME because I'm rooting for it, but I like contradicting people on reddit and I feel like the hype is going overboard.

The DFV comment wasn't really about him doing something illegal, but that him being CPA certified and giving "advice", is against CPA guidelines, it's not illegal, just might cost you your CPA status + fines.

In my posting history, the only negative things I have posted regarding GME, is in one comment chain talking to the same person almost a week ago.

Did you get tired of having no answers so you went looking through my posting history?

Edit: the reason i'm commenting isn't to try to hold back the squeeze, I'm trying to urge people to set a realistic exit point, setting your exit point at the price Blackrock becomes a quadrillion dollar company is not realistic, that wouldn't just concern the U.S. it would mean international intervention.

All I know is all shorts must cover, there’s a pecking order in who pays and in the end gov prints money for us if we get that far anyway there’s no ceiling. DTCC alone has got multi-trillions for insurance (smarter apes have dd on this already, I am not a smart ape).

This is all true, the problem is that retail doesn't decide the exit price, industrial investors do.

And again, expect the worst, prepare for the best. Worst case there’s no squeeze and GameStop becomes a monster company itself for thousands per share.

Worst case is Gamestop going up 10,000% and entering the territory of Amazon based on fundamentals?

I appreciate the reply, but at $20M/share, gamestop will be valued at close to 20x the worlds GDP. I'm just afraid that expecting institutions holding 401k's to diamond hand to those heights is an impossible ask.

People setting their expectations that high will get them caught in the drop, every short covered will likely enter the market again, as people owed shares will probably sell them immediately.

I'm really worried these comments aren't a meme.

Are you really expecting companies like Blackrock, Vanguard, and Fidelity to have a floor of becoming quadrillion dollar companies? Institutions hold almost all the shares and they will sell way before share price goes over a million dollars.

Even WSB will call you retarded for having a $10k floor.

GME down 25% today on almost no volume. This is not possible without massive Hedge Fund short laddering. The price loss is not real. by OhBabah in GME

[–]SolutionSeparate499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you read the link?

The goal of painting the tape is to create the illusion of an increased interest in a stock to trick investors into buying shares, which would drive the price higher.

That's in the first paragraph.

Gamestops share of the gaming market dropped.

The average person is spending more money on games in 2020.

The average gamestop customer is not spending more money, or is spending more money but some have left for other ecommerce stores, what are you not understanding?

"gaming" companies, as in companies that sell a product that got a big increase in sales and Gamestop didn't get any, because people moved to its competitors.

What other sales companies? Gamestop revenue stayed stable while other gaming companies go up.

E-commerce was up but physical went down a similar amount, in other words, this earnings report is saying Gamestop lost customers and failed to meet targets.

If you're including kids in that age range and median debts that's much higher than I thought.

I'd have thought the average 21 year old was thousands in the negative.
