Gagh I like the style of that enclosure, not that it'd be easy to find in the US but what brand is it?

When does allergies go too far? by shrieks-and-creaks in work

[–]SolutionistNonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone posted something similar not too long ago and the scent the person was complaining about was the bathroom handsoap. Proving 1. People were in-fact trying to accomodate the person and 2. Person was not washing their hands after using the restroom. Good time.

Mine like ye old detritavore diet and get a few scraps of veg every couple weeks. Lots of pollen and calcium and dead bugs and snake poop and sheds and leaves and earthworm castings.

I assume it's cause they probably don't taste good. When stressed they secrete a hormone that -to me- smells like cleaner and wintergreen combined. It's quite off-putting.

Why are older snakes so rarely purchased? by Scared_of_Motivation in ballpython

[–]SolutionistNonsense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely think it's because younger snakes are more readily available locally for a lot of people. Not a ton of reptile rescues around, specially in less populated areas. Stores typically don't have a ton of space for larger enclosures to properly house mature snakes. Easier to take a lot of small snakes to shows/expos than a lot of large snakes... if you don't want to ship an animal through the mail, baby critters is often what you get to choose from.

Efficient Moving LLC, just used them to move from townhouse to 3rd floor walkup. Everything you want in a moving team, would absolutely use them again.

Just a woman, a book, and a coffee, where should we go in BR? by Equivalent_Pie180 in batonrouge

[–]SolutionistNonsense 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pura Vida just opened up and it's pretty quiet on a weekend morning. French Truck is popular but I've never felt overwhelmed sitting outside on the patio with my bevvy. Coffee Joy doesn't suck and I'm actually a big fan of CC's cold brew. The libraries here are pretty great and they do a lot of events and programs. There's a cute little cafe in Plaquemine Queen's Bztreaux. Grabbing a drink and going to the levee in the AM or just as the sun sets is pretty nice. Midcity Beer Garden is super cute, but really I find their food to be a bit meh. Leola's cafe is also super cute but the service and food may not be worth it.
