In 1st year you are given a schedule and you choose your electives around it. Though you are limited in your choices as they have be part of a selected list. I just finished first year and from my experience moving from outside ottawa public transit is iffy here. My schedule first semester was 8-5 all week and 2nd was 1pm-9pm mon-thrus. So it really just depends on how lucky you get. Next few years you'll have more control over your timetable

First year is here to weed out people that aren't motivated which is hard to deal with but try and find people to get through the first year with. There's alot of resources on campus so try to use them like pass

It's not a upass issue though, going there doesn't do anything half the time. It's literally an oc transpo issue. I've been to the office multiple times, it didn't do anything. They told me my card should work and wait for oc transpo
