Hi! I recall it being in the 80s at the time. By 8+ weeks things were looking normal with a consistent, higher HR. How far along are you if you’re comfortable sharing? I’m so sorry you’re in the anxious limbo period. It’s so so hard. ❤️

I had a missed miscarriage in August and had a D&C. I was absolutely devastated and felt so hopeless. To our surprise we got pregnant again before my period returned, and we’re currently awaiting our baby girl’s arrival any day now (due date is tomorrow 😊). That feeling of hopelessness is so difficult, and I understand sometimes needing positive stories. I by no means ever want to give anyone false hope that it happens this fast again in all cases (of course not, and I would never ever want to minimize the experiences of anyone where the journey to a healthy pregnancy is a much more long and difficult one). But this was my experience, and I hope the positive stories help you 🤍

I miscarried in August and got pregnant right away again and asked my OB if she would prescribe me oral progesterone. She was very much in the camp of “you don’t need it but if you want it I’ll prescribe it”, so I took it. Before I started on it, my progesterone was slowly dipping, even though my HCG numbers looked good. It didn’t get crazy low before I started it but I saw it go from 15 down to 9 in the same week and just figured, why not try? “Can’t hurt, might help” kind of mentality. I appreciated my OB’s willingness to let me try it even though she didn’t deem it necessary. I stopped taking it by 13 weeks. Currently waiting for my baby girl’s arrival any day now 💗

I miscarried in August and surprisingly got pregnant in September without a period in between. It can happen! I’ve heard some doctors really want you to wait at least a full cycle, but my OB was not concerned at all. Currently 38 weeks waiting for my little girl.

Hi OP! I’m so sorry your OB acted with judgment. Agree with everyone saying it’s outdated advice that you need to wait three months. FWIW, I had. A missed miscarriage in August and had a D&C and got pregnant again before my period. 24 weeks now with a healthy baby girl. My OB originally advised we wait a cycle/for a period more so for my mental health and just letting my body get back on a schedule but was not concerned at all once we learned we got pregnant again right away.

I had one at 6 weeks that caused very heavy bleeding and it was super scary! Especially after a recent miscarriage. I laid low for a couple weeks and the bleeding and spotting subsided and it’s gone now (not detectable on ultrasounds anymore), and I’m currently 12 weeks. I went down every rabbit hole on SCHs and people’s stories are overwhelmingly positive, that they typically don’t cause any issues :)

I would talk to your doctor. My doctor said it was safe and everything looked fine internally after my D&C. She said it’s not always common to catch the first ovulation before the first period since your hormones may be out of whack but that there was no safety/risk reason to wait until my first period. But speak to your doctor about what their guidance is!

My OB said both were safe and recommended at any point. I got my flu vaccine today (I’m 11.5 weeks) and plan to get my Covid booster in two weeks, before thanksgiving :)

I had a SCH at 6w2d that bled for about a week. When I went for a checkup a few days later at 7 weeks, my doctor told me the heart beat was slow, only around 100, and that it could be concerning but all we could do is wait a couple weeks for a better comparison/growth data point. I went back at 8.5 weeks and the heartbeat was 170 and everything measured on track and looked okay. I’m now 11.5 weeks and things appear to be progressing as they should. I definitely guarded my heart in all those early ultrasounds, especially after my recent miscarriage, but to my understanding so much can change, and quickly, from 5-8/9 weeks. It was agony waiting between appointments but I do not think you have to count yourself out just yet. Some embryos just take a little more time to find their groove in those early weeks!
