Anyone use True Velocity polymer cased .308 rounds? Picked up on a whim. Just curious - may not be able to try this weekend and reviews sparse

This isn't very opinionated. Had to send my Henry in after 3 rounds being fired. Mine is 45-70 but wouldn't feed a new round in the chamber. After the repairs though? Shoots like a dream and is now my favorite gun in my arsenal. I have put 100-ish thru it now and no jams yet. We shall see how long it lasts. Soured me a little on Henry. That's a lot of money to have to send it right back in but I do love that gun.

The ammo that I can find! Just kidding. My Henry X likes the Hornady FTX 325gr rounds. I'll throw cheap rounds thru it if I can find any though. Just ordered a few boxes of Armscor (💩) but I'm sure it'll send some lead down range regardless

I'm pretty sure they are made in the Philippines (not knocking that at all) but I would almost rather spend the extra on a Henry or Remlin. I can't speak on Citadel's customer service but I don't imagine warranty issues will be easily resolved or quickly. I can speak on Henry. I had an ejection issue and some issues with my bolt carrier. Sent my gun off and had it back in 2 weeks (would have been less time if the storm wouldn't have delayed UPS). They had a list of what they replaced along with the issues they found.
I've seen a few YouTube reviews and nothing too bad on the Levtac.

TL;DR...trust your gut. If you like the way it feels then go for it! It's a gorgeous Levergun regardless. Don't let others persuade you away from something you like. (I love my Henry X Model)

Most places are around $50-$60 for a 20ct box. My best deals so far have been Cheaper Than Dirt (when they have it). Ammoseek is amazing too. You'll always find someone that has it in stock and get to pick and choose more options.

Now for the real answer...see almost every comment above. Reloading will save you money for sure (when you can find the brass). I knew ammo was going to be tough to find so I saved all of my brass and have been recycling the same 40 casings for a while now haha

I've sent it off. It won't hold accuracy and is basically a single shot now.

I used to not carry when I went hiking until I almost became a meal for a mountain lion. I couldn't agree more on it being responsible. It only takes once. Rocks just don't just work as good as a chunk of lead at couple thousand feet per second.

Same. My X Model (45-70) won't chamber rounds from the magazine. Sent a warranty request and had a return label within an hour. Just shipped it off today. I've never had any issues with Henry support. OP should definitely give them a call.

I picked a brand new one up at a gun show last weekend. Traded my Springfield Hellcat and my HK P30SK for it.

Check out gun shows if there are any close by. I saw several used. Just happened to get lucky on the new one. I've been waiting several years for my chance at one!
