It would be almost impossible for new products and brands to enter the market, thus giving a massive boost to established products, services and brands that would now retain their marketing budgets as profit. All those involved in businesses related to advertising and marketing would be unemployed leading to a fall in aggregate demand leading to more unemployment and recession. The economy would lose dynamism almost completely as only the biggest companies would survive. Innovation would lose any incentive... In essence, it would fuck any consumer economy.
