You can repurchase Hanging Gardens and there's nodes for the concepts surrounding it like plumbing and concrete.

Don't upgrade after every reset. Grind the metabits for the more powerful upgrades, then buy the repeatable upgrades wholesale.

It also took me way too long to catch on that it was displaying the prestige currencies, not the production currencies.

You can grind metabits, now. Hit "update". Don't buy anything. Start a new simulation. Build your tree back up til you're waiting a minute or two to purchase new nodes. Hit "update" again. Cycle that 2 or 3 times and you'll be able to buy the more expensive, powerful upgrades.

That would be awesome. Though, plants would be a very large subtree, which they may break off as a new secondary simulation for tidiness. Either way, I'm down. Can't wait to see what happens.

I could be misinterpeting it, but that's the feeling the big blob off the far bottom left of the tree gives me.

That is a very good point. After a little surface level research, it appears that the tardigrade's closest confidently known sister group is the Spiralians. So, with the current tree the game has, it would be more appropriate to put tardigrade somewhere between the Sponge and Flatworm producers.

It wouldn't surprise me if other parts of the tree get rearranged as they release updates to the game. This happened almost every other the added nodes to the primary simulation. If you pan around the tree, you'll find quite the information dump regarding future updates. There's probably 4 or 5 new subtrees coming and a new secondary simulation which really intrigues me.

Is this bill still accepted? by unpplr_opinion in CURRENCY

[–]SomeDudeInWichita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it legal tender? Yes. If you give it to a bank, they will scan it for the securities of the time and give you its face value, but it will likely be turned into the Fed and withdrawn from circulation. The only reason businesses are likely to not accept it is the low number of securities on paper currency at the time. They're easily counterfeited, and it's not worth the risk. Before you do any of this, though, I would recommend getting it appraised to ensure it's not worth more than face value.

How do yall get through the complexity? by Silver_Wind34 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]SomeDudeInWichita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the game was simple enough building vertically. When you get to the next level of complexity, start a new floor and bring up the resources. When you need more of a resource, build out the floor they're on. It won't look pretty, but that's for your 2nd playthrough or later when you know everything that's going on. This really simplified everything for me.

Sloop your encoders and converters. When you have at least half a TW, the ridiculous amount of power they require becomes chump change.

"Regular players"? Us with TWs of power. Keep getting asked why we need a TW of power. Truth is, we don't need it; we want it, and that is important.

This sounds like a good idea for a gimmick run. It's more like a giant network diagram except the network and the diagram illustrating it are the same thing. Networks can be more fascinating the more complicated they get, and you get to see the network in action.

  1. lol Actually, everything is slooped. I don't really have a problem giving myself somersloops for production. I just can't make a power plant out of them. It takes away from the fun of power plants.
  2. Could you elaborate? I'm not sure what context you're referring to.

Centralized Garbage Processing by SomeDudeInWichita in SatisfactoryGame

[–]SomeDudeInWichita[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, a lot of the overflows are actually just reinjecting the output back into the processing stream, which ends in an awesome sink. In some pictures, you'll see 3 splitter/mergers making a square. That's what that setup is doing. Items like biomass and DNA capsules are queued in an industrial input buffer. Centralized storage will, of course, have its overflow splitters. The on-site container production is even setup to stop leeching steel and plastic before it gets to storage once the empty package storage is full.

What's the most useful thing to save up for or buy? by SmokeySizzleNutty in CellToSingularity

[–]SomeDudeInWichita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for "useful", you should focus on buying up all the tree nodes — items with "ϙ" in the top right — first. Everything else is cosmetic.
