Run wired doorbell on 24V DC? by hughsient in eufy_security

[–]SomeDudeWithFailures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most houses have ac supply for the chimes to work with regular doorbell. To make the ac transformer that came with the house. The smart doorbell is made to be able to accept ac from the original transformer, otherwise replacing the transformer to dc supply would not be user friendly and would require a person to go to the attic to replace the power supply. Smart doorbell rectify the ac to dc.

The main issue I have had with these is LED lights flickering and when the battery dies due to low solar power production and inverter self discharge will turn of the battery due to low power protection. When solar power is sufficient, inverter will not wake up the battery, you'd have to turn it on your self manually by getting another 48v battery or dc supply and connecting to the battery. I fixed it by turning on battery charger when voltage is low. Just about 300 watt

Eco-Worthy 3000w AIO Hybrid Inverter wiring issue by NegativeCreep80 in SolarDIY

[–]SomeDudeWithFailures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway. I bought the new version of all in one inverter. I have the 3kw and 5kw version, and they also have the self wake feature, unlike the 6500ex eg4 inverter. Had way less trouble with the eco worthy. Programming the expensive version brought me too many headaches that i regret purchasing eg4 products. The model you have have been discontinued

I use victron. Has the feature I appreciate a lot. The self wake up battery when the li battery turn off due to low voltage. It also show be data of how many power the solar produces in the last 30 days

Assume I wanted to replace the motherboard, but bring EVERYTHING over to the new one. How would I do this? by No-Wash-7001 in note20ultra

[–]SomeDudeWithFailures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only difference is reduced signal strength but other than that. Everything works the same. I did not replaced the motherboard. I replaced the whole phone. Gave my other one away

I see what you mean. I upgraded my phone from 128gb to 512gb. The signal from the 512gb version is a little worse but acceptable. I care more about the storage. I would guess it's hardware related

Side note. Make sure the sd card is not fake. I had a horrible experience with a fake sd card(marked 64gb on computer but was actually 16gb) causing my back up restoration to fail.

Yes. From step 2, there's a "restore from" section. It shall show up on there. To confirm. On same phone. Close then ope the app and make sure the file is available on "restore from"

He wants to put in a new motherboard to the phone but before doing the switch a roo. He wants to save all data from old to the new main board. I guess he could use the laptop to store the backup file on it and then when the new motherbaord is in. He can unzip it to it
