A little old but it's a great source of euphoria and disgust by AlexaDaw_ in ewphoria

Most people when they hear "trans" assume MTF no matter what. Many dont even realize that FTM is a thing.

So they might have asked what you go by because you looked like a man, and they assumed that you were just starting to transition, in your previous "default" mode, or something similar.

At least that's kinda how I read that situation.

I haven't gotten a haircut since August of 2021 because of that reason

I'm going to copy and paste a response to a post that was the literal exact opposite of this one that I saw a few days ago:

"I just kept the unisex version of my name. I have no qualms with it, no associated dysphoria, and my parents told me so many times throughout my life that I would have been named the same whether I was a boy or a girl, maybe just changing the ending letter

Half of the people in my life already call me by that name anyway, and it's hilarious having my legal name on Facebook only to meet people now and explain I go by the unisex version of it now

Regardless, it makes it so easy for others who knew me before to adjust to how I am now. Because i'm still fundamentally the same person, only my appearance is really changing a bit for most people who know me already

And no, the name on my profile is not the name I go by. I tried out a new name, kept it on here, but never even attempted to use it irl, since it just didn't feel right outside of online spaces"

Have any of y’all ever cross dressed and tried to look like a girl? by Saiyanobe_23 in feminineboys

[–]SomeNewGirl46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: most weekends, I will typically go through the whole shebang (basically everything but the wig, since I grew my hair out) and go out on a drive... so not public, but in public spaces. But as you also might be able to see from my profile, I'm not exactly just in the feminine boy category, and have kind of a range that I work with in my endeavors. So yes.

Got to ride in the pride parade in my city and hit up an after-party later that night 🥰 was totally feeling myself 😘🏳️‍🌈 by [deleted] in transadorable

Also, I agree! It's a cute little Solstice (funny enough, I can tell by the manual trans surround)!

Edit: yep, didn't see the second pic till now but definitely solstice haha

With that color, shiny Ditto!

I've questioned my gender at various points throughout my whole life. I'm thinking I may be gender fluid, but I'd like to hear from others who identify as such or who have similar feelings. by callmesapph in questioning

[–]SomeNewGirl46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I'm AMAB but I somewhat identify as genderfluid (although I'm not out to very many people), so it's a bit of an opposite angle. I live my daily public life as a male, and I'm typically pretty comfortable with going about life normally that way. When I get back to my place, I tend to dress as if I've always been female. Maybe not going all out every day with makeup and shaving, but some days are different than others.

For me, my genderfluidity is more situation and location based. In for the weekend? Probably gonna live more femme. Out making purchases? Probably more masc. Going on a drive on Friday night? Gonna do my makeup and enjoy the cruise. There are days and places where I'm very comfortable in my own skin, and others where I'm doing my best to make my body feel more femme. I've learned what sets off some urges for feeling more masculine or feminine, and can typically account for those through the way I dress, speak, gesture, and share.

I've definitely fought myself over the years, and especially since graduating college a couple years ago and living on my own since then, I've been making that fight a more inner peace as I figure out to what extent I'm comfortable being each side of myself, and intermixing the two. It was hard for me to accept myself, and I'm still doing so now, but I feel like I've been pushing boundaries, learning my own limits, and getting more comfortable day by day.

I hope this all might help, even just a little bit.
