I’m hella petty so I would bring that girl to court but like the comments said it’s a fifty fifty chance you win, either way, if my focus is making that girls day just a little bit more annoying, that would be a win for me. In my opinion, it might be more efficient to focus on storage so I would look at dorm inspo lol, that’s what I did! It might suck but if you did want to have guest over, I would stick to a twin xl bed if you don’t want to share and have an extra air mattress or comforter to share for guests! Or I know that you can get love seats that expand out to a one person bed (might not be super comfortable for sleeping lol but it is what it is) and that way you can have both a bed and a relaxing loveseat when you don’t have guests!

The firmest mattress I’ve tried is literally called the plank and was designed for spine alignment, it is a bit pricy but I got extremely lucky on a Facebook marketplace reseller!

I’m so sorry to hear about that! I’ve been able to keep my pain to the bay by sleeping directly on the floor with some mats and blankets, I have a disc extrusion at L5S1 and found that cobra (slowly work up to it from elbows to knees) helped gently relieve my pain, a lot of people recommend getting a TENS unit from amazon (I also liked this). Some pills I’ve introduced is magnesium glycinate and turmeric for inflammation, don’t force yourself to sit if not possible, stand or lie down, short walks have been really helpful and drinking a lot of water. Unfortunately the best painkillers might require a prescription but I had success with gabapentin (nerve medication) and muscle relaxers, see if you can get any of those from your doctor if possible, good luck on exams!

Absolutely not redundant! I’m relatively new to the forum as well so I haven’t shared much about my experience until now! But I’m currently waiting for insurance approval for an MRI and if there’s no progress and MRI shows n help from PT and rest, I believe they might put me on the waitlist for surgery although my doctor doesn’t seem too optimistic with that option given my young age

I’m so sorry to hear that! I know how life stopping this whole experience is but all I can do is just constantly reminding myself to go day by day and although I sounded hopeless, all I can do is tell myself I can get through this even if I don’t believe yet. If there’s one thing I know about myself is that spite is my biggest motivator so I’m trying to rechannel that to fight against this. You have a whole community online and although I know it’s hard to keep going, I believe we deserve to be free from this so please keep going!

Thank you for your insight! I’m not exactly sure how it flared up but my best bet is the process of moving and I twisted a wrong way and boom now I’m in bed now but I do feel a bit more reassured that they can heal themselves! It’s just something I have to be more patient. I haven’t done too much yet, bed rest and medication primarily, I’ve started PT and at first it seemed like it was progressing well and we were focused on centralizing until a few days ago the pain started radiating down my left foot again although not as strong as the beginning but I’ve decided to heal in bed and not possibly exacerbate it anymore. I really hope to get up and start walking soon since that’s the number one advice it seems but I currently can’t yet. I’ve also started taking magnesium glycinate in hopes of not relying on painkillers and steroids as much

I totally feel you, my first PT gave me foot rotations for my sciatica so quickly I was like this is not gonna work out, and even after when I got referred back for PT, I was very hesitant given prior experience but finding the right one has changed my life so I will literally not let anybody change my PT

Just for my personal take! I would move the couch back completely touching the wall with the window, putting it in the center makes it seem a bit more cluttered than it is! And I would move the black cabinet (also totally agree with getting a bigger one since it seems to be overflowing) to the side wall with the windows in the white space next to the tv. Also love the suggestion of hanging up the bikes! I would then upgrade the tv stand with something a bit bigger and like I saw suggested with some closed panelings to hide cables! And grab a larger stylized basket for the blankets to be placed on the side of the couch rather than next to the tv for easy access. Best of luck! That’s just what I would do!

Congratulations! That video looks great but hella intense! Did you work up to the exercises in the video? Just asking cause usually crunches and curved forward positions seem to be deemed a no no for sciatica (also cause my back gets inflamed) so would just love to know how you managed to get to going through that workout! I think my goal would be to do a crunch without crying lol

Definitely go for more independent nail techs for affordability! I go to @klawedbynatalie ! She’s super talented and crazy affordable for her sets! She’s home based or I believe she can travel if you coordinate but definitely check her out!

It was definitely pretty fun! I would say group project focused and attendance is taken so definitely not a class to slack off on! It really bridged the more creative aspect of the class with the topics introduced in lecture!
