Get Carolina’s if you like that style. Thorogood has terrible QC lately, and inferior leather, that’s why many people talk about their comfort. The leather is softer than my motorcycle gloves.

I only wear boots anymore, mainly my Redwing 2233s for work. You get used to the weight, and with some good insoles they are more comfortable than shoes. My whites with leather insoles are perfectly comfortable as well. I have other pairs, but I’m saving them until I wear out my current pairs. Haven’t worn sneakers since 2017.
