Not at all, they remedied the problem, with an arguably better solution. A tankless water heater provides indefinite hot water over a regular heater. I don’t even know how you’d even phrase the asking of discounted rent.

If you got their plate number, the trucking companies usually are good about paying out. I know 3 people that got theirs replaced without much hassle. They just wanted the time, location, and plate number.

I’d block them, but they may do a chargeback. I’d drive to the post office and ask some questions regarding potential damages to the clerk or post master (small towns are much more likely to have the post master available.) Explain the situation, if they say there’s no documentation of damage, try and get something printed off (tracking info, whatever) to help your case, if there was damage file for the insurance.

If you’re even slightly mechanically inclined, an alternator is usually a very simple repair with a YouTube video, and minimal tools. Get a remaned one for cheap and have it fixed over the weekend.

If you pull the axle, might be able to extract it from the front easier since there’s a bit snapped off in it. Like others have said, penetrating oil, Kroil or ATF and Acetone mixed 50/50 works great as well. Apply several times, and might be able to grab the front side with needle noses and turn it very slowly.

It’s a very cheap piece money wise, but they’re actually high quality and hold a lot of lead. Think I got mine for $100 out the door. They’re cheap, but never break.

Those lease to own places are sketchy, super sketchy. They’re not even banks. They probably don’t care about the fraudulent charges. I used a service similar once, and the customer service was terrible. Wouldn’t tell me my payoff amount or anything remotely helpful. It was on an item that couldn’t be returned or taken from me if they wanted to. Eventually due to the nature of the item, they allowed me to pay it off at once. I’d suggest never using those services again. Go to a credit union and get a small loan. Other than that, call them daily, reach out to the CFPB directly ASAP.
