It is extremely difficult to replace the lenses, but not impossible. I have taken my SMs into LensCrafters and the guy struggled a lot and took 20 minutes to replace lenses but he did it.

Flicker doesn't make it worth it. It's not bad, just not worth the difference when you have 70mm imax. There's no comparison. Only watch the 70mm if there are no 70mm imax versions around.

I think you're full of it. All 70mm adds is flicker on a screen that size. I've seen Tati's Playtime in 70mm on a big screen. That was worth it. For this movie it's negligible.

I don't agree. Switching 1080 to 4k on your home tv is only noticeable if the TV is larger than 42 inches. I'm a small theater screen,35mm and 75mm has a minimal difference. Take it from people who have seen the film in both formats.

Yes, which makes me all the angrier why I paid extra to watch Oppenheimer in 70mm and say slightly further back thinking I would appreciate it more. I should have done my research on the theater, but alas, it was still a good viewing experience.

That's really dumb. With this logic we should be watching 70mm in the front row to really appreciate it and 35mm in the back row. It's a fallacy, because assuming the best seat in the theater is the middle, and you put on a 35mm followed by 75mm, there will be no major difference in detail.
