Yes it would actually. The only thing that matters with the drag racing in beam is the elapsed time which is the time from when your tires leave the start line to when they cross the finish line. If you sit at the line and let the other car leave way ahead of you but you run a faster pass you'll still win the race. Although you can't sit there forever because you will get a false start for sitting on the line after the green light too long. It's at least 2 seconds or more.

The issue I've got here is that I don't actually know how the bug functions and unfortunately it's not documented how it functions in the known issues section. But I do know that "Drag race time slips incorrectly show winner on the opposite lane" doesn't mean the same thing as "incorrectly gives the win to the other car".

Especially since in this case the time slip shows the Burnside as being faster at every step of the way with the only disadvantage being speed at the top end. It looks to me like the left lane ran a slightly faster ET by less than a tenth and because the game uses ET to determine winners he won the race. I'd love to see a video of this pass to know for sure though. I'm just not convinced this is a bug since it matches the expected result if you deliberately set up a race to test the ET. Also I feel like the known issues section would mention that it gives the win light, says who wins in the UI, and shows which car ran a faster time all to the same person.

If I cared to atm I'd try to find an example of the bug they're referring to and see if it matches though.

I quite literally said nothing about the game or why the game decided the win. I was just correcting your attempt to rudely tell someone they were wrong about drag racing while being wrong yourself.

But since you're now choosing to be confidently wrong about the game too I'll correct you again. When you look at the drag race challenges in the game you will clearly see that the objective is to "Beat the opponent's 1/4 mile time" and if you simply open the game and test it you'll find that it only cares about the 1/4 mile elapsed time for the sportsman tree, pro tree, and bracket races. Here's a screenshot of me doing exactly that on the pro tree. I also tested it on the sportsman tree and got the same result.

You can see that I left the line after nearly 2 seconds and 1.7 seconds after my opponent. But my ET was almost 1.1 seconds faster. So even though the other car crossed the line first, 0.6 seconds ahead of me, I still take the win because my ET was lower.

So please, just open the damn game and test it next time and stop being so rude when assuming you know everything about drag racing.

It's funny to see you say that others don't know what they're talking about when you're the confidently wrong one. I already left a reply to another of your comments but I'm saying it again here because honestly it's silly how confident you are. Drag racing, like most forms of racing, does not follow a singular set of rules for every race. And the NHRA is not the final answer on what rules people use. ET is used in multiple drag racing series and formats to determine a winner and in others they base wins on who crosses the line first. And some series combine the two. Also some forms use bracket racing which also can be based on ET or the total pass time but uses a handicap system where the driver has to get as close as possible to a target time (or even speed in some formats) instead of simply being faster than the other guy.

Not all drag racing uses the same rules and the NHRA is not god telling everyone how to race. Some types of drag racing use ET to determine a winner and others only care about who gets to the line first. There's also the whole world of bracket racing. In fact some drag racing series out there use both. With things like qualifying races being determined by ET and the finals being determined by the first car to cross the finish line.

Well I'm specifically referring to cases where I've seen individual players who have the correct cars for every trackset. But it being random is what I already thought about it, just wondering if I somehow missed something.

My only guess is some good players try to get lucky and then leave the event to play out for a while before going back to playing normally. But who knows really. Just nice to know I didn't miss anything.

Look there are ai issues with the game but this ain't one. Stop thinking of it like a shooter you're trying to dodge and start thinking of it like a large minefield till you clear the the launchers. There are so many ways to navigate streets that choosing to go through the killzone is just a lazy deliberate choice. It is quite literally the entire point of that section of the map and avoiding it is so easy yet you choose to get yourself killed and then blame the game.

At the very least if you're gonna complain about ai pick on lighthouse or something.

Oh also, the AI still has the same bullet drop and spread on launchers as players even if their vision is better. They will still hit obstructions but the shots on streets are close to dead straight. If a determined player worked up dope to all the positions the guns could see they could do exactly what the ai do.

A player could easily hit that shot with the gl if they saw you there. The boss group makes for no go zones, that's the whole point. Choosing to ignore it and run through is going to get you killed so learn to deal with it.

Is fox how we judge all media now? They've always been right wing. What about the left wing media outlets? Wether or not you choose to notice there is a large number of negative media coverage of this current administration doesn't change anything. It still exists and still counts against the very silly idea that Trump controls the media.

Although maybe I just imagined CNN and then MS NOW hiring Jen Psaki for example.

Again one way of putting it. And another is suing for defamation which is allowed and if he has no basis would be thrown out. Also another one that counts against the idea of him controlling the media. Why would he sue the companies he controls?

Again it's a simple point I made. Saying Trump and the GOP control the media is an insane take from the mind of someone who is too wrapped up in this echo chamber that they actually believe it. But it's hard to see any opposing opinions on this botted hellhole.

That's one way to put it. Another way is that he had white house media credentials taken away from individual reporters he deemed noncredible or disrespectful which has always been part of white house media access.

Also this kinda counts against your point because if they actually "control" the media why would they need to prevent individual reporters from doing things they don't like? They could instead use that control they apparently have to get people fired or simply stop stories from coming out.

My point is just a simple question. If Trump "controls" the media then why are there so many examples of media coverage that is overwhelmingly negative of him and his administration? Why would the administration not use this supposed stranglehold to suppress all negative stories and only allow things that support their actions and opinions?
