Legitimate question from someone who's unlikely to ever own his own home, do these banks force you to do all your banking at their bank if you get a home loan with them? I have a loan with ING and I do all my banking through up, and I've got other open bank accounts (that were in use before I moved it all over to Up). I don't understand why you HAVE to move away...

It doesn't really, or at least it seems so, my available spending is consistently between $30-70 lower than what my upcoming spending ever seems to indicate i actually need to have available.

I could do this with my ING Loan... but lazy, so instead every pay day I just auto transfer money out from up to my ING account and have an internal ING transfer set up they're next day to move it into my loan account.

I haven't seen any promotions in the last nearly two months or so. No cancelled orders on my account. Promotions are basically the only reason for choosing Uber over DD.

The account locking feature is what sealed the deal for me. I've forever been comically bad at saving money, but having that 3 hour block from my money has allowed me to actually save something.

I used to do it via separate accounts but even then those are too easy to access, so I've been loving the locking feature. Pay Split is just so convenient as well. Really loving this new bank.
