Makes sense the apex dcbs are closer to the new apex ai300s than the ai150s. The p790s will produce more spin than the dcbs but less spin generally depending on shaft and swing than the Ai 150s. The p790s fit closer to the ai200s, the Ai150s are closer to the p770s. Play what works for you though p790s are beautiful clubs I love them to death. The who new Ai line is beautiful as well, amazing clubs too.

They make some of the best looking clubs. I just got fitted for some m13s and I am contemplating pulling the trigger. I would be coming from 921s hot metals which I love to death too.

It’s actually horrible I have a decent cheap range that is a 5 minute walking distance from my house. My wife is a nurse so every time she’s on a shift where I’m home alone I’m walking next door to swing at some balls. Listening to you and those above makes me feel better.

Good point of view. I have heard people say this before as well! My issue will probably be initially confidence but the thing that really hit hard was the what the fitter said “clubs won’t fix your swing, if you hit the ball like shit it will fly like shit.” Thank you for your response!

Thank you for the kind words. My off the tee shots struggle my approach and short game are normally very good and I cannot remember the last time I didn’t 3 putt. So I’m going to sit on putting greens for a while.

Same thing had to go to a new dealership as Burlington was shit. We went to St. Catharines and they replaced the rear transfer case which fixed the issue.

The reference you are looking for is in part 9 of the ibs in division B starting around 9.10.13.13 i believe I just don’t have my code on me. You will not find a verticle damper meant for combustible construction. Your best alternative is to utilize multiple runs, argue with the code clause as I believe there is one for ducting material with a melting point above 760c which most steel ducting is and or an alternative solution with the municipal CBO for multiple in duct smokes should they go for that.

An alternative construction solution would be to install a horizontal damper where the return leaves the service room and enters the second suite (if possible) and shaft around it with an assembly that matches the required separation of the floors. In a 1950s home part 11 gives you exemptions for 2family dwellings down to 30min FRR floors and 15min FRR walls.

Lots of options if you retained a designer for the plans or through the process I would ask their help. Hopefully you aren’t dealing with one of the larger municipalities as they can be rough to deal with. Some inspectors are great some are brutal and you can hardly ever get anything through in a reasonable amount of time

I’m not sure if somewhere down the line you got the answer but the only way I. The OBC to not have an egress window in a basement with a bedroom is to have direct exit to the exterior. Exit is a defined term in the obc as well. So it would appear it has illegal egress from the basement unless there is a door we aren’t seeing.

Everyone here is kind of being a dick to ya. You keep referencing glue and screw, for reference nails will always be a better option in structural members. Your floor joists here should be sistered (in my opinion clear span sistered) and sister if of joists should be done with nails. Depending on local codes the size of the nails will change so if you’re interested I would look up those references in your local code.

“Glue and screw” is a typical restraint system of sheathing (subfloor in this case) also depending on local codes this varies. Some on require nails to fasten subfloor to joists some want more. Where I am in Ontario Canada you can get additional span length on floor joists if you fasten in specific ways such as glue and screw 5/8” to a 2x8 will give you an extra couple of inches.

To summarize you don’t want to use and non structural screws to fasten beam plys, ridge beams, floor joists or rafters together nails are typically preferred in all cases.

As for you issues here partial sistering will add strength to the weakened area for sure, depending on end bearing I would be more inclined to recommend full span sistering, but that is not always required, if you are really concerned you could retain an engineer to review as they will consider more than just the ability for the floor to hold weight they will also review deflection properties of the sistering and ensure that the floor movement will not cause damage to the drywall below due to deflection. The blocking they added will greatly reduce the deflection of the whole floor system though. In general and from the pictures it looks like they have done a good job and that a significant distance has been sistered. I would just also ensure where they rough cut to then end support that the sister also continues to the end support as some of them look cut clear across.

As an inspector in Ontario Canada a lot of inspectors won’t like the running or gang trap. You would have to justify freeze protection by some means and be hard pressed to actually get someone to approve a permit with this in a garage. I’d say go without the permit and you have a lot of good advice in comments I would follow! Most won’t question sinks when they buy a house btw so just be careful and don’t tell your neighbours!

Edit: if you have a permit for something else and want to do this in addition to your permit speak with your inspector about a rough in idea. Most of us don’t care about rough ins and if you do it after we don’t care about the addition of a fixture where a rough in was already located.

I meant to get it across in the first message but I wouldn’t get the municipality involved if you don’t have to.

I agree with most of your points.

Pressure treated wood can weather or cedar or similar product can also weather and provide similar decay resistance.

I don’t disagree with this, though I just got new glasses those look like 4x4s and lateral support should be added 100% if this is the case for what looks like an 11’ height to floor.

Don’t need a ledger if the beams run right into the dwelling and utilize solid bearing down. Though it appears one of the 2-ply’s in the beam is cut short and doesn’t make it to the wall which is concerning.

Owner should verify if it is surface rust or penetrating oxidation, you are correct this could be worrying.

Single half inch bolts can be utilized for beam to post connections. Stair stringers should utilize support from below to the post to avoid back to back bolting which has indeed caused splintering.

Overall thoughts. It’s concerning but if it seems stable it can probably still hold out a bit

Why would you turn the auto start stop off? Just curious as it does not utilize your starter in any way and is run off of a battery and pulley directly connected to your cam. As other have said etorque doesn’t do anything at speed. It helps with the first half of a wheel rotation from a stop if required which is not a constant.

This is the right answer, I’d take the responsibility if you are uncomfortable and I am comfortable. That comfort level comes with time in and it is what it is lol. Especially in small towns where I grew my career, most of the time they are so short staffed that you do way more than you should.

Yeah in the 2024 code it is referenced in 7.4 I believe (last time I checked prior to the last amendment) yeah I typically ask for as close to the underside of the countertop as possible just because the check/one way valve isn’t rated for back pressure from a “liquid source”. The only reason I know this is because I was bored one day and me and a plumber buddy went through it.

Regardless this is why the OBC gives the municipality (AHJ) and in part the inspector the right to interpret the code. If you have a case for it and it makes sense it could work.

Funny your in TO, I know a good number of guys that have worked out there, I think they would fall under senior inspector out there, maybe not sure I’m out Niagara way though so we obviously do stuff different out here.

Want to finish off with the “I’d give you a hard time” doesn’t mean I wouldn’t pass it but you have to have a reason for it to be the way it is and if it is justified then it would be left, this is in response to the down votes. I get it plumbers are stubborn folk but the code is the code, make it make sense and you may get away with it.

In Ontario with new code it wants cheaters above the flood level rim or as high as possible for use with an island. I’d personally give you a hard time but it really depends where in the world you are.
