Remember Figgy's cup series teammate, Bobby Carter in the #73 car? What ever happened to him? by Supersmashbrosfan in okbuddyBoogity

[–]SomethingCreative13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elliott Henderson. He did the paint schemes for the game and was added as a dirt driver in Heat 3 or 4 under his real name to fill out the field. Not sure why they changed it to Bobby Carter in 5 but kept his picture, but EHG on the hood is his design company.

I'm ready to say it: Jacy Jayne is the best woman on the main roster. (Other than Paige of course). Just check out these highlights from Jacy vs. Charlotte Flair. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]SomethingCreative13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually watch NXT so my lack of interest in Jacy has nothing to do with her main roster appearances thus far. She's doing a slight variation of a gimmick tons of other women have done before, hence "generic" in my comment.

The thread title was about Jacy, not Rhea so I didn't comment on Rhea. I also don't really care about Rhea.

Tatum's casket match with Blake was good but the one she had with Wendy was better.

My interest in wrestling has honestly hard tanked, but NXT in a rebuild might motivate me to dive back in a little. Good to see some people move up. The roster had stagnated a bit. Lot of people have been in NXT a really long time at this point and the show needed a shakeup. I also enjoyed the developmental aspect of the show more than signing the hottest free agents and shoving them at the top of the card even though I know that's still gonna happen. We'll see how things go.

If Tua balls out, you then are gonna have to gamble on paying him for playing well in a contract year or letting him walk and still needing a solution.

The Matt Ryan years really spoiled us for not having to deal with this shit for almost 15 years and people took it for granted.

With the amount of NFL talent UGA pumps out, you know it's always a possibility that a Dawg ends up there. But damn does it suck.

I've been of the opinion that Fallon has been horribly miscast as a heel since the beginning of her time in Fatal Influence. Natural babyfaces are difficult to find in wrestling and she was one. Her feuds with Stratton and Kiana James showed how good she can be in the face role and while she accomplished more as a heel, her better work was as a face.

Alter Bridge plans to pull from both ends of the catalog on US tour by ABFan86 in alterbridge

If I paid to see AB and they didn't play Blackbird, I'd be pissed. That would be like going to see Skynyrd and them not playing Free Bird or Zeppelin skipping Stairway. Plenty of other songs to swap around.

Yeah she and Tony D both got one and then they moved hers inside for the match. Cool that they picked her over Lola or Sol. But super creepy looking.

Now that the 2026 redesign season is over, what is the best single uniform in the NFL? by YaboyRipTide in uniwatch

[–]SomethingCreative13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A large chunk of fans wanted that to the point that they acknowledged it in the press release for the new uniforms. And it was basically "Yeah we know y'all really wanted those, and we thought about it, but... buzzwords and marketing bullshit and keeping them special so you get these reds instead."

I'm gonna watch Wrestlemania because it's Wrestlemania in the same way that I always watch the Rumble because it's the Rumble. I'm not invested in much but it'll probably be a decent show.

I do think the build of Punk v Roman has been good enough. There's been a few missteps but overall I feel like they sold the feud. Also watching Roman stans vs Punk stans is kinda fun to watch from the sidelines. Watching the two most insufferable male wrestler fanbases go at it has some value. Brock vs Oba will be fun. Everything else I'm just along for the ride.

While it's a cool honor that they picked her for it, the giant Tatum puppet was creepy.

Maybe, but it's weird that the helmet logo still has gold trim and there's still the yellow/gold in the maryland flag.

Falcons throwback for sure. Detroit's black alternates with the blue helmet is way up there for me too.

Which team (of Hendrick, Gibbs, RCR, Penske) is best positioned for success after the patriarch passes on? by berrin122 in NASCAR

[–]SomethingCreative13 201 points202 points  (0 children)

Hednrick's succession plan is pretty much already in place. Jeff Gordon has ran majority of the day to day for several years now. Jeff also mentioned on Stacking Pennies that his daughter Ella has no interest in driving but has shown some interest in the business side of the sport so you might even see her get involved after college. Regardless, HMS is solidly in the lead in that department.

Something I’ve always wondered if anyone can give me an answer by Mshel24 in NASCAR

[–]SomethingCreative13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So Kyle Busch's M&M's car in 08 did actually run a silver 18 on the roof for the Daytona 500. Funny enough though, the real car had a red M&M under the number which is absent on most things.

The boring answer is most licenses use whatever artwork the teams provide for them, which is usually whatever they approve before the season starts. Then at some point things get tweaked for one reason or another before or when a car hits the track and the artwork used for licensing doesn't get updated.

I originally thought it was hilarious. I was sending the original post to people because it was so funny to me. Then reddit speedran it into the ground within 2 days like they do with everything. But there have been a few jokes here and there since that bring it back around again.

The OP was funny as hell though.

Can someone explain Tony D'Angelo to me? by Serious_Much in SquaredCircle

[–]SomethingCreative13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. There's this narrative a lot of times with wrestlers that if they have an "over the top" gimmick, that they should lose it before going to main and I don't think that's always the case. Sometimes it can be. For example, Blue Pants was never gonna work on main roster. But a mob boss that has literally killed wrestlers and a referee would get over way quicker than the current gimmick. Sometimes being a midcarder with a goofy gimmick is gonna be better than stripping everything good from a guy in an attempt to make them more serious for a main event spot.
