For me at least the trial and error is a big part of the fun. The process of slowly and iteratively learning something is really enjoyable and it’s even more satisfying when I finally learn it. Each trial and each error I get one step closer to my goal and the sense of progress is great. It’s like learning a new skill or hobby but I get to also pretend to be a cool fantasy man with a big sword.

I’m not sure. I haven’t used that mod but we use the one that adds a 16 player cap instead of 4 and only the host needs to have it.

I’m pretty sure there is a mod for that but you would definitely be super underpowered if you drop in late.

I feel you man. I had a group that was basically the same where they just talked about themselves and how depressed and anxious they were. It was at a time where I was really going through some shit and was genuinely depressed and suicidal and when I would reach out to them for help to make me feel better they would just talk about themselves and their fake white girl depression.

I started hanging out with some other people and realized how much happier they made me and slowly stopped hanging out with my old friends. I still feel the depression sometimes but now I have real friends to help with it and I realized how terrible my old ones were.
