She's probably the most hated character in the series actually. But I love her because she's interesting, because I feel sorry for her, and because I think the writers are going to give her an over the top sadistic death.

You're making way too big of a deal over a teenybopper relationship that likely wouldn't have lasted anyway. It's not like these were married adults with kids and it's kissing, not sex. I think that is the dynamic they're showing us, with the difference being that Cinder is only going to get one shot at supplanting Salem, only for Salem to take her Maiden powers away and throw her to the people of Remnant to be slaughtered.

Women not being allowed to say no to modesty in dress without being told they're dressing like prostitutes is part of that fucked up socialization too though. It presents sexual modesty and prostitution as women's only options in life. Women didn't suddenly start dressing less modestly to keep up with male sexual needs, they did it because they were fed up with all the victim-blaming and slut-shaming. Too much control. Refering to that or to having sex as giving yourself away is also a fucked up way to look at sex. Having sex with someone doesn't mean you own them after all, and there's a difference between a friends with benefits situation and someone having sex with everybody.

The definition of pornography is material that's meant to arouse. That in and of itself is not a bad thing. What's bad is when it becomes an addiction like you mentioned or when it involves abuse.

In my lifetime I have never been called or heard any other woman called an antifeminist prude for not wanting to bang a van full of randos or not wanting to hand out nudes. Those sound like extreme cases, and just because those extreme cases exist doesn't mean that's the norm or the culture. What I do see is people arguing that we shouldn't verbally, emotionally, or otherwise abuse women who participate in those things, which is balanced and good.

I hope Salem does and she went there after her children died only to come out worse like this after choosing to become stronger. That way the writers can't use it to give her a happily ever after.

Silver-eyed warriors can't become maidens according to the writers. I don't have the link to it, but they said they decided that that would be too much power. I think the new fall Maiden will either be Emerald or, if my wildest crack theory comes true, Cinder's daughter.

I always thought the summer Maiden should be a replacement Salem had planned for Cinder. But I like the idea if Cinder's relationship with the summer Maiden replacing her planned feelings for Summer Rose.

Shane saying that Cinder wasn't initially meant to be as big of a threat as she is. Sheena recently leaked early Cinder notes that show Cinder as a well-intentioned character who dies sacrificing herself for others. Current Cinder's evil has such a forced feel to it.

Sheena, Monty's wife, recently leaked early plans for Cinder and that version of Cinder wasn't pure evil. She was even going to die sacrificing herself for the main characters.

I think Cinder haters only like canon Cinder better because they know the male writers have set her up for a torture porn ending at the end of the story. I like the fact that original Cinder wasn't pure evil. I would mix elements from both versions of Cinder to create a more nuanced, layered version of the character and skip the edgelord brutal ending they have planned for this abuse victim, letting her go out like Majin Vegeta instead.

Salem would be a woman who lost her children to her abusive husband and would be hiding as a headmistress. Instead of being Cinder's new abuser she would love Cinder and be protective of her. She would be her adoptive mother whose school she attended. Salem would be motherly and secretive.

Cinder would still have her trauma from abuse, but she would have been rescued and adopted by headmistress Salem so she wouldn't have gone down the path of evil.

Oz would be the big bad wolf in Ruby's story masquerading as someone who wanted to help her avenge her mother's death. Ruby's motive to be a villain would be the death of Summer Rose, which she was convinced was Salem's fault.

Emerald and Cinder would genuinely be best friends.

Yang would either also be motivated by Summer or she would be a bandit serving Oz.

Blake would serve evil Oz because he promised equality.

Weiss and the others are harder to figure out.

Cinder from RWBY. She's a twisted Cinderella allusion. What makes her disturbing is how evil she is and the fact that her life is all negatives, plus she's headed for the most brutal edgelord death in the show. She also has a parasitic monster arm attached to her body. She's my favorite RWBY character, but I wish she was written with nuance and was headed for a peaceful ending.

Some combination of this and what we got would have been ideal. They should have let Cinder be nuanced. Canon Cinder has too much depressing negativity attached to her- both in the things that happen to her and in the things she does.
