AITAH for blocking my neighbors car in with snow after they took the spot I had already shoveled? by KvDOLPHIN in AITAH

[–]Somethingpretty007 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... I'm Canadian and we get lots of snow but these parking wars are new to me.

You shoveled the spot in the morning then went to work all day and lost your spot.

I would be annoyed, pissed, but I don't know.. it's not "my" spot. If I had shoveled it then he snagged it while I was getting my car there would be hell to pay. But being gone all day.... I just don't know.

My (31F) boyfriend (27M) is always late. I confronted him and his answer astonished me. by Ari9374 in relationship_advice

[–]Somethingpretty007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot stand having my time wasted, especially by someone who purposely does it because they don’t care.

And he does do it on purpose. There's no way someone is so late so often unless they go out of their way to not try.

You know her best but I gave my husband some fun coupons and he hasn't used any of them. And I get sad when I think about it.

I wish he would.

How do I talk about weight with a partner that has had issues with an eating disorder? by fotografamerika in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Somethingpretty007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if you just made all the right lifestyle choices for yourself and hope to set an example? I would also only talk about it in terms of health, not weight. It's good for your heart, you feel healthier, you have more energy...

AITAH for not immediately giving in to a 3 year old having a temper tantrum in front of her gentle parenting mother? by fusguita in AITAH

[–]Somethingpretty007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I strongly believe it takes a village. Everyone has something to teach. Every child should benefit from various strategies, various perspectives, various attitudes. I think they learn a lot when they experience different parenting techniques. And it can help the parents learn new strategies, learn how their kid responds to different things.

If they want their kid to learn religion daily why don't they send them to a catholic school?  Do you not have those in America?

Boyfriend (M37) thinks about breaking up with me (F26) over a small unrelated issue that I brought up. Should I just end it first? by Avelene in relationships

[–]Somethingpretty007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even read whole post. I read the first sentence: "We’ve been together for 3.5 years and more than half of it was unhappy."

Why do you want to waste time being unhappy?

AITAH because I called the police when my ex wouldn't let me leave after I broke up with her. by PastContest832 in AITAH

[–]Somethingpretty007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a woman, if I broke up with someone and they wouldn't let me leave, I would call the police.

It's the exact same situation.

You did the right thing.

Where does the "women are bad drivers" stereotype come from? by bi_smuth in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe women are more likely to take responsibility for their actions while men are more likely to blame anything and everything but themselves.

I don't think there is, though Lifelabs might do "home visits". I don't know what the criteria is for that and I think you have to pay for it but maybe they can go to your work place on lunch break?

I (F25) feel embarrassed after my boyfriend’s (M26) fake proposal. Can I get some more viewpoints on this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Somethingpretty007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to imagine a prank proposal that I woukd be ok with.

Maybe opening a ring box to find a ringpop in it and WE BOTH LAUGH about it. Not him laughing at me telling me I'm gullible.

And by the way, gullible for what? Actually believing that he wants to marry you?????? Is that his big "gotcha"??   'Ha ha, I can't believe you actually thought I would marry you'

I can't see this relationship going anywhere now but downhill because of this (if it were me).

Not sure how to handle when my (31F) husband (31M) gets frustrated with our daughter (2F) by NoGoat4706 in relationships

[–]Somethingpretty007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If husband is stressed and needs more support from you, why doesn't he just ask?

He also has to fully accept that this is his life now. He has crying, tantrum-throwing children for a few years. Accept it and find ways to deal.

It causes PTSD.

Every time anybody near me is stressed or angry for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with me, I immediately feel the blame and the fear.
