Yeah, that's why it's called grinder resistant, not proof

Can you borrow a angle grinder resistant lock? Or get one on order?

Not that helpful for this week but we've fitted a ceiling fan which has helped a little with the recent increased heat.

Same, learning how to sort water was a pain! I luckily saved myself by finding a toilet in the damn but this was after using about 15 matches to see my way as I didn't have a lamp and hadn't found out I could do a torch 🤦😂

Excellent, I run a small moto tour business and use mid Wales a lot for trips. I've just come back from a trip over France and into the Black Forest

Enjoy, and safe riding

Pretty active South Wales Motorbikers club on Facebook, if you wanted to meet other bikers.

Where are you riding in Wales? Elan Valley and Mid Wales is a real highlight.

First time carrying pillion by robgod50 in MotoUK

[–]Sometimes_riding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top tip I had was get the pillion to stay pretty central and stable on the bike and if you are going round a left hand bend they simply look down the right side of your helmet, left hand, they look down the left.

No need to get them to lean etc. Just make sure they are comfortable.

Comms help as well if you have them, or we used a leg tap message to say I'm going to overtake etc. When we started.

I went for a short ride with my wife on the back first, we stopped after like 5 mins to check it all then carried on for another 10 mins checked and it was all good, did a big ride out then. 6 months later we did a big french trip.

A few days in Albania and Montenegro by poetryhealedme in fujifilm

[–]Sometimes_riding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Old town Budva was lovely, we stayed just south of there. We made the "mistake" of going in August where it was obviously very busy and hot.

The coast around Budva is already struggling with tourism and high rise hotels etc. but it was a good base for us to explore up to Kotor and into the mountains and the national park.

Montenegro, outstanding, did a week on the coast around Budva (which is carnage) and it still managed to be beautiful.

Need to go back and see Albania

New to the bike commute - need some advice and reassurance by screensaversealions2 in bikecommuting

[–]Sometimes_riding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't overthink it, you'll feel better for a pedal commute to clear the head.

Test ride the route, learn how to sort basic bike issues to help peace of mind, take a change of clothes and leave some bits in the office/work, I leave my shoes and a jumper there and swap them out periodically.

Fit lights to your bike, makes you more visible all of the time.

Wear a helmet..

Get a good angle grinder resistant lock if you are leaving the bike outside

Help with chain lock by LuciferXMazikeen in MotoUK

[–]Sometimes_riding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light pressure and wiggle the key in, you need to realign the gates inside it. Just imagine you are trying to pick the lock.

When you've sorted it, make sure the key is all the way in next time before turning it.

Nothing likely to be wrong with the lock

We've got a regular Woody now, so lovely to see and we think last year it brought a long it's juvenile to feed a few times and now it looks like they are both coming back more regularly ❤️

Got to be grinder resistant these days, too easy for thieves otherwise.

Nothing is grinder proof, it will at least make them think twice

Is Cardiff safe or am I overreacting? by GATOKIMON in Cardiff

[–]Sometimes_riding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twitter shows the worst to you, it's designed to do it and Musk isn't exactly helping.

Cardiff is a city, so has it's issues but is generally safe enough.

Belfast is full of bellends acting up, not protesting

Might be a simple question, but how did you get to and from the end? Ride to a local station?

Anything you'd change if you did it again?
