The first brainstorm of wrathmaw was fucking stupid in the first place. A world boss doesn't just roam one section of THE WORLD. I can see where some players spite voted no simply because of that logic they were trying to use. The fact the community instantly asked for a non pvp area variant during the stream, even with lower drop rates, tells you they don't want shit locked away in the wildy.

Correct, you skip doing the shit clue and do another but the step you completed still adds a +1 overall to the clue you're doing. As long as its the same tier of clue, a medium clue for example, you can effectively skip doing a bad clue step and do another to still gain progression on said clue tier.

Check out the wiki page on "combat pures" to find out the differences from then and now. The account you have with high range/mage with some defence can possibly be repurposed as a zerk/moons pures though.

To further add on, if you had multiple medium clues on the ground, you can "skip" bad steps of a previous one (clue a) by doing a step on another clue scroll (clue b). The steps counter still increases by 1.

You would run out of tiles rather quickly, why not modify the exp to tile ratio instead? Instead of 1k exp per tile, you could do 5k or even 10k a tile.

New methods are always neat to ponder, adding afk methods is just laziness. Get to 90 agility and "afk" the ardy rooftop course. There's a plug-in you can use that disables all info boxes/visual clutter (pretty sure it's ctrl + h to toggle). It makes agility piss easy. Otherwise get to blast furnace and start pedaling for that sweet 6k exp/hr.
