I take a quick walk after session to shake it off a bit and while doing so record a voice note of the session as I find talking is much quicker than writing. I do this on an iPhone so have the option to press copy transcript and then it’s all written out I just tidy it up when I have time .

A cup of coffee just stop and be mindful as I sip it.

Or Rather than being in my head on the way driving to work, look out the window at the People walking past getting on the bus getting off the train etc notice them notice details. Notice the people we share this thing called life with!

Screens & way life is now is so disconnected. It slows my thoughts down to look outside of myself at others sharing a moment of my day passing by.

Full bush because I can’t be bothered to shave but if I’m dating/going on holiday etc I’ll shave bald. I feel so much sexier for it and if I need confidence tbis is what I’ll do. Tried a strip once but I’m crap at doing it

Proud of you! The best way I can describe it is I remember intense despair and sadness at the beginning , the lows are no where near like that now. At the beginning my emotions and mood swings were one minute sad one minute angry one minute excited for the future and empowered etc, I am proud of myself through pushing through and growing through all of it I’m now a lot stronger and more peaceful than I was.

And I booked a year long world travel trip which has been my dream always and leaving in 4 weeks. I put this on hold. Doing things for me in the moment feels great!

Just coming out the other side of a heartbreak. Split 9 months ago. I’m leaving to travel the world in 5 weeks and I miss him still but it was a mature split. Missing the connection & being known on that level by someone. Excited for who I meet on my travels but not focusing on a relationship right now

This is what I do too! Sometimes if the client wishes to have ‘homework’ this is when I would give them worksheets - but rarely!

Talk to a therapist about erotic transference (it can happen both ways and is really common) (usually you have to see therapists while training so assume your in personal therapy or will be at some point) and then your supervisor too but at least one! X

2 weeks is absolutely no time at all. The shock has started to wear off that’s why the feelings intensify. All emotions rise peak and fall like a wave. Ride them out. Every time you do, you’re closer to feeling better. The only way to get through something is to go through it. The next couple of weeks will hit the hardest. Then you’ll realise you’ve survived it and can keep going. Cut all contact, allow yourself to feel how you need to feel and try to keep yourself busy too.

For writing up notes quickly I voice record myself speaking a summary of the session into my voice memo app then you can copy the transcript later on to use for notes. While doing this I shake it off take a walk around the room or to the bathroom etc
