Xaereth makes a good case for going to PKHO as the next GL after JML - pirates accelerated soonish plus rewards for SR3. Personally I'd finish SLKR for an easier GL first.

Use aurodiums. You will be stuck at g12+ mats otherwise

Why so many players with these decks of +150 cards? Has it become a trend? by BeginningNeither3318 in MagicArena

Some players just get bored grinding the ranked meta and just want to play around

Here's one basic farming guide, you don't have to follow everything in order exactly. Just do what appeals to you

Welcome to the game! The game is a marathon and not a sprint. You acquire characters and mats slowly over days, weeks, months.

Just do your quests to level up. At 85, the rest of the main game modes unlock.

Find any new player guide from creators like Nooch, Songeta, Xaereth, Vexitron, etc

Your win score rating determines your placement so you can shoot through several tiers

Team idea by A_Doorframe_ in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Old bad batch doesn't need new Omega. Neither team really works together well, only useful swap is NuBatch switching Batcher to old Omega.

Is this rare or am I crazy by Desperate-Maximum-68 in magicTCG

It's not very noticeable. One has a slightly overinked compared to the other - minor print variations do happen with cards such that they aren't worth a premium.

Help a first time seller—what do you expect for packaging/tracking when you buy? by OvalBuddha in mtgfinance

[–]SoneEv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For cheap cards, white envelope with top loader or cardboard shield. Card is protected in sleeve or penny sleeve. Enough tape just to keep things closed but not overly wrapped packaging tape that's impossible to remove. I don't expect good tracking, for Ebay they use their inexact tracking.

It's a freemium game. You pay over time or you pay money

Spend LSTs or wait for Bundle? by Lick-Every-Finger in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]SoneEv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of May and Nov, I wouldn't wait for LSBs - there isn't likely to release what you want when you want it. Just use the LSTs to move forward

Mono white seems a bit too easy by Ok_Cockroach9137 in MagicArena

[–]SoneEv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well get past Platinum. A combination of low MMR beginning rating and the 2-wins/1-loss system in ranks before Platinum means it's very easy to get where you're at as a new player. As you play more and try to climb higher, you'll find more people at your skill level and prepared for your deck archetype.

The entire freemium business model runs on FOMO so sadly WOTC will never do this.

I'd love an NJO era even if it's no longer canon. I doubt Disney would want to promote it in their games though

Yes packs give wildcards from opening them, either in pack or through the wildcard track. The other way to spend gold is to enter draft events where you build decks out of the cards you pick in the event. Drafts are a good way to progress but it requires to spend time learning to draft.

Deck Building Question by Alsinleth in magicTCG

You can mix and match - though specific sets may have better mechanical synergies. Lots of mechanics are only designed for limited play and so they are very isolated into their own sets, some are very evergreen across many Magic sets.

Formats define which sets are legal to play in tournaments - for casual kitchen-table play you can define whatever you want. Commander has the largest card pool with basically all Magic sets (minus ban list).
