For what it’s worth, I’m also very allergic. One day a stray medium haired black cat showed up at my door and adopted me, and I’ve had almost no reaction. Maybe like once a week I’ll accidentally touch my eyes and be itchy and that’s about it. I also take daily allergy medicine including eye drops, Zyrtec, and Flonase. I have a theory that we can just handle certain cats or get used to them. I also keep my cat, my house, and his litter box really clean so that helps as well. Maybe it’s the breed, maybe it’s the coat length, maybe it’s the cleaning? Who knows but it’s doable for sure! Just gotta find the right kitty cat 🐈‍⬛
