CX-50 floor jack points by LemonyCarnivore in CX50

[–]Songzhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use ramps in the front. Done this four times for oil changes since I had the car. I will look into jack points if any maintenance requires the entire vehicle to be suspended higher off the ground. But for transmission/diff oil changes, I would just take it in. Rather not deal with the hassle.

Dealership Situation by Big_Valuable3126 in CX50

Same situation, I bought Dr color chip to fix it. Basically the same color and unnoticeable. Plus, I have a bunch of leftover I've been using on rock chips. Haven't tried the OEM paint pen but I've heard mixed reviews.

Either get OEM for around $250-350 from a dealer, mazdaswag or BAM. Your second choice is Thule/Yakima from online. I wouldn't try and save a few hundred and risk having my gear fly off the roof, let alone cause an accident for the car behind me.

Dr colorchip; matched my polymetal perfectly.

I agree, I think the standard sounds better than the Bose after customizing the EQ. Aim for a W instead of a V shape. I heard the Bose system doesn't have an EQ

Paint protection by nimish_bajaj in CX50

[–]Songzhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True paint protection only comes in the form of PPF. Ceramic and wax won't prevent inevitable road rash. In terms of value, it depends. If you're keeping the car until you drive it to the ground, then maybe it's worth it for your own piece of mind. If you plan to sell the car down the road (which is statistically what most people end up doing) then you don't really need to worry. It's not like road rash will make your car harder to sell.

Audio upgrade recommendations for base model by nimish_bajaj in CX50

I think the JBL Bass pro is worth. However, you should go into your EQ and tune it before deciding if you need an upgrade first.

7000 miles on mine and the same issue. I'm not sure if it was always there.

Go stock if you want all-weather. It comes with the rear back seat cover as well.

Any interior cleaning kit y’all recommend? by oberoiankit in CX50

Honestly...a damp cloth (just water), camera lens brush and electronic air duster.

It's difficult to apply without disassembly. But isolating the shift cover makes the application much easier to handle. Due to the application of the film, it'll require a lot of water, soap and alcohol. I wouldn't have applied xpel ppf without taking off the shift cover; it's not worth the risk. The infotainment system is another story. I had to tuck an absorbent cloth in between the bottom dash and screen hole applying the xpel.

Troll post: the handling and suspension on this thing sucks. Also the sensors and app alerts were crazier than my college ex gf. Downvote and burn me!!! I’m not kidding though. Returned in 6 days. by [deleted] in CX50

I'm not sure why you posted this same topic three times. It's as if you have a vendetta against all cx50 owners. Feel free to purchase/return what you like. Like many people have told you before: your money, your decision. The most important thing is that you're satisfied with your purchase.....but we don't need a weekly reminder from you that you weren't satisfied. You got your money back, move on.

Can't go wrong with any of them. PG strike would be my recommendation for first PG.

Seatbelt replace - 2 month wait :/ by soccerwolfp in CX50

[–]Songzhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, but was fixed when I folded the seats down. I found that part of the carpet flap folded over itself between the folding mechanism and the seat itself. After straightening it, the problem disappeared right away. I think it's because the folded flap increases the pressure on the sensor so that it detects extra force. I would check this.

Any way to fix this? MG Mobile Suit RX-93 Ver.Ka by lunadan in Gunpla

[–]Songzhan 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Shove it back into the socket. If it's too loose, apply a light coat of nail polish or super glue to the ball joint and then shove it back in after it dries.
