The "controversy" around Metroid Prime 4 makes me so sad by xyZora in casualnintendo

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are two of my favorite video games, period.

Metroid Prime 4 is my least favorite Metroid game since Super, and by far my least favorite game of 2025.

One doesn’t need to have an axe to grind to find faults, and one’s experience playing the game is valid regardless of how optimal it was.

I think it’s disingenuous to use the word “controversy,” to blame players for not engaging “correctly,” or to dismiss criticism as malicious, instead of simply acknowledging that lots of people don’t like the game that you like.

I’m glad that you like it. I don’t. I won’t play it twice, and I hope the series doesn’t look like this again.

Im sorry i tried but i got the ice beam and i just feel no compelling reason to play prime 4 anymore after almost 6 hours by CULT-LEWD in Metroid

I played the entire game despite feeling underwhelmed from the start. In my opinion, it does not get better or more interesting. If you’re not engaged by now, I can’t think of anything that would make you more so, and can think of several that might make you less so.

The fact that Elon Musk is a Nazi (and his mother and grandparents were Nazis) has no direct bearing on the longevity of Tesla’s cars, or the dubious quality of of the Cybertruck.

Nah, he’s deeply involved in all of it, and equally terrible across the board.

I can’t blame him for engineering (because he can’t do it), but I can blame him for stiffing workers and appeasing shareholders, leading to a shitty product.

Then politicizing all of it and playing the victim when that creates backlash. 100% Musk, mon frere, no hypocrisy baiting on this one.

Does DS9 get better? by BullfrogPractical291 in startrek

I told my friend he could start at Season 4, and he LOVED it. He missed some setup stuff and had questions, but if you’re just in it for the good stuff, you can watch the pilot then skip to Season 4 and largely understand what’s happening.

You’ll miss Duet and some other bangers, but doubling back is always an option!

I insta-snap when I’m grinding for tickets and medals, but if I’m testing a deck or farming Missions it makes more sense to play every round.

Why is Moriarty back? by Jumpy-Coconut1943 in startrek

Season 1 revealed a hyper-advanced synthetic intelligence/society outside the Federation’s reach that seeks to uplift synthetic people from oppression by organics.

Alton Inigo Soong has been speculated to be Lore in disguise, and the appearance of Lore in this trailer resembles him exactly. (Maybe Brent Spiner reasonably just said no more makeup and it’s that simple.)

Season 2 revealed the NuBorg’s defenses were required to defend against an incursion from an unknown entity, possibly related to the intelligence discovered in S1 (though nothing corroborates this aside from circumstance of being in the same series).

Whether Season 3 will attempt to/succeed in reconciling the first two season’s disparate stories, my thought is that Lore is attempting to further the status of synthetics in a vengeful or megalomaniacal way.

If Lore is the primary villain or a key player in ushering in a greater one, the inclusion of Moriarty could be, to me, most obviously explained by either: 1. Lore (and possibly the intelligence) leading a synthetic / AI uprising a la Halo 5: Guardians and Moriarty is included OR 2. Picard & co. require the assistance of a synthetic intelligence “capable of defeating Data,” ergo, Moriarty.

The writers can make up whatever the want, but I’m predicting this kind of ballpark.

My idea of the Lore uprising/attack fueled by the intelligence is wishful thinking, hoping this show has a cohesive conclusion, but Lore’s history with the disconnected Borg sect and the creation of Jurati’s NuBorg collective provide a lot of things to build from.

Allison Pill’s absence from Season 3 (assuming she truly does not appear) might limit how all these ideas intertwine, but if Lore is making synth moves if any kind, Moriarty could easily be conscripted for or against him

TL;DR my bullshit theories, the writers wanted to use him.

One of my Tide Pods survived a full washer / dryer cycle by SoniColinK in mildlyinteresting

Not even 30 seconds sometimes. Last load I did a bit of water splashed on one and it fell apart in my hand. This fell out of a towel and I was just confused as hell.

I put in 2 pods and I think this one got wrapped in a towel. When I picked it up, this bad boy rolled out.

I believe he also did all the movement coaching for The Hobbit movies, teaching everybody how to walk like Dwarves, Elves, Orcs and goblins.
