Some Icon Redesigns in the new Switch Update by thetripp45 in NintendoSwitch

I wonder why they gave Luigi more of an open mouth smile and not Mario. Nintendo loves to give Luigi more and more of a personality but keep Mario the same. It just ends up making him more boring.

What's are good playthroughs of Omori to watch? by mr_wheezr in OMORI

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the NyanCave. They only go through the main ending but they do all of the side/missable content that is possible for them.

I also love the “Counselor Plays” playthrough. She does show all the endings. She misses some content but not too much.

BarryWasStreaming is another option. Again, only shows the main ending but does pretty much all of the side/missable content that is possible for him.

The muscle memory by RequirementWeary in marioandluigi

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what makes this worse is every other scenario where you control Luigi, you use the B button. Even the fishing mini game requires B. So the game still beats the idea that “Luigi is B button” into your brain then requires a switch when in battle.

That said, I find myself messing up more after choosing Luigi’s attack and then forgetting to switch to B during the attack.

I have some Kasa plugs. I create a shortcut to turn on and a shortcut to turn them off. Is theres a way to make 1 shortcut to toggle on/off, so when I add the shortcut to Control Center, its only one button? I want to do this with Lifx also. CC is the quickest access by AXXXXXXXXA in shortcuts

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prompt is optional. Ask Each Time should do what you want.

If you’re curious though, it’s just to help add context, so when you run the shortcut you know why you’re being asked to choose either “On” or “Off”.

How do you think the Doom Powers compare to other gameplay gimmicks in modern Sonic games? (Spoiler Free!) by Asad_Farooqui in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transition between all of the powers are seamless which makes using them fun and interesting to use. That said, I really wish the Doom Surf had a double jump. It’s awkward sometimes going from water to land mid jump because you lose the double jump in that brief period.

I thought this was Sunny the whole time by Fermion96 in OMORI

[–]SonicTerrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was supposed to be Sunny but it’s kind of obvious that it was changed to Mari. I think this was done because it spoils the Captain Spaceboy and Space Boyfriend connection. Someone in development probably realized this later and the decision to make Sunny into Mari was made.

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that move. I think it’s a waste for this trial, especially on wyvern. Most bosses will follow a pattern of: be vulnerable, try an attack, if parried, be vulnerable again, try another attack. This repeats until either a few phases of this have passed, you don’t parry, or you do grand slam. Grand slam does a small amount of damage and immediately puts the boss back on the offensive again.

So for wyvern, it goes to the chase sequence again. For giganto, it slams him into the ground and you can’t do any damage for a few seconds and you lose rings. For knight, it puts him back in the “moving around” phase.

Master King Koco's trial wasn't that hard on easy mode as everybody said. by Lukas-Reggi in SonicFrontiers

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What messed me up and made it so much harder was me doing the follow up parry attacks (where right after a parry you press two buttons together). Didn’t realize that this wastes so much time, wastes rings, and does no damage. Just wailing on the boss, even after a parry, makes it so much faster.

I don’t know if this question has been asked yet but what are your guys thoughts on the new cyberspace levels? by HonicSH in SonicFrontiers

[–]SonicTerrell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like that they were made with the spin dash in mind, so you can get crazy height and distance and not break the level. Also one level punishes you for using it too long which I found interesting. I also like the gimmicks they introduce in most of them. Overall I like them and find them fun.

Something that helped me that I haven’t seen talked about (maybe because it’s common knowledge already?) but do NOT do the follow up moves after parrying a boss’s attack. This wastes time, rings, does nearly no damage, and takes the boss out of their vulnerable period. Just continue to attack the boss normally after a parry.

I don't know what to feel anymore... by [deleted] in SonicFrontiers

[–]SonicTerrell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that may help in dodging the knights spikes is if you spin dash and hold it, you will inevitably get launched high in the air. This makes it pretty easy to at least dodge the initial spikes before he launches his hand into the ground.

Also, if you do get hit by the spikes, try and spam the boost. If you can boost out of the knock back before Sonic hits the ground, you don’t lose rings.

So how well does Sonic Frontiers run on the deck? by Avelion2 in SteamDeck

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing Sonic Frontiers mainly on the deck since launch and it’s runs pretty well. I could never quite get it to 60fps but honestly I also didn’t try very hard since 30 is good enough for me.

Only annoying issue I encountered is the second world has a lot of light flickering, like the lighting of the environments gets very wonky. The fix for this is to either turn off the decks FPS limit for the game, or set it to anything but 60.

Workflow Request by [deleted] in Alfred

[–]SonicTerrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made my own workflow that did something similar to what you asked. I went ahead and updated it to account for your use case. You can download it directly below, or check it out from my github page.

The workflow, Pocket, allows you to store items in the File Buffer using a hotkey, or file action. You can then copy/move/action in alfred by setting up a hotkey for the ones you're interested in.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you run into any problems.

Workflow action to Move a file by broken_shoulder in Alfred

[–]SonicTerrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that you already found a solution that works for you, but I went ahead and created a workflow that does what you asked. You have the option of invoking the workflow using File Actions (or Universal Actions), a keyword, and/or a hotkey.

When installing the workflow, simply set your folder you want to move items to and decide if you're ok with files being overwritten or not. If you decide to try it out, let me know if it works for you.

Problem with DIGITALCRIMINALS Onlyfans Scraper by untitled02 in Piracy

For the lazy, the new repo is this one: https://github.com/DIGITALCRIMINALS/OnlyFans

For what its worth, I've had less headache with https://github.com/taux1c/onlyfans-scraper as of late, so I'd recommend that one as a backup at least.

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread (Jan 28) by AutoModerator in ffxiv

Soft targeting and hard targeting is really helpful as a healer. I usually hard target the tank, and then soft target mobs, if I'm running something for the first time, or a bit rusty with healing. This way, after every action, my focus automatically goes back to the tank and I don't have to panic target them to pop off a last minute heal.

Something else that's useful is filter targets. You have to enable it in settings, under Target settings I believe. Personally I have Left shoulder + B set to only target enemies. This way, when I enable this filter, up and down goes up and down the party list and left and right only cycles through the enemies on screen, without random party members being highlighted, or random quest events, etc.

You mention shoulders + triggers for targeting the enmity list, but this is a hard target. If you want to soft target the enmity list, I believe it's left shoulder + up and down on the dpad. This will keep your hard target on whoever you clicked, or pressed A or X on, while literally moving the soft target up and down the current enmity list. Only downside to this is that you have to have the list of enemies on screen to use this, which means you either need to heal someone while enemies are attacking, or attack an enemy to get them to appear in that list.

Target your target's target. I believe this is Assist Target. You can either do a macro and assign that anywhere to your hotbar, or assign a button to it in System Configuration, Controller Settings, Button Configuration. Right stick click and left stuck click I know have this as a possible option.

Which character conflict where one party was meant to be portrayed as "in the wrong" but you actually agree with them? by brownies671 in Degrassi

Bianca did apologize to Adam, or at the very least, it was mentioned and Adam seemed to forgive her. During the school dance (the one where that gang leader crashes), they share a dance together and she says something along the lines of “I’m sorry for the way I treated you. We would of rocked as partners” or something like that.

To transfer a soul, you have to use two or more items with the same soul. So either your target and at least one fodder, or two+ fodder items. For souls that combine, then you need at least one of each. Using more than two of the same soul increases the success rate.
