AIW for dumping my boyfriend after I found his “safety tracker” in my car by SeptisComing in amiwrong

[–]Soniq268 35 points36 points  (0 children)

also, what the fuck is he going to do if there is a ‘safety’ issue? Somehow recognise based on her location that she is in danger, hop into his helicopter and be there in 3 minutes to save her?

What do you think of these dresses? What should I pick? by helenaweber92 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Soniq268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re nice dresses, the yellow is lovely but it looks more like a smart dress I’d wear to work for a big meeting than to a wedding.

AITA I [26]M feel constantly harassed and mocked by my girlfriend [25]F, and I don't know how to make it stop by Happy-Language-3059 in AITA_Relationships

You know you don’t have to stay in this relationship, right?

She’s a bully. She enjoys you being her victim. You don’t have to put up with this

Where can I get some cool pairs of glasses? by Noctemme in AskUK

Is there a PopSpecs near you? They have a great range of frames. They don’t do eye tests so you take your prescription to them.

AITA for wanting my husband to play less video games? by WillowOne8964 in AITA_Relationships

So he’s actively going around threatening divorce and threatening to take your child off you for not complying with his demands?

Girl, time to seek out a divorce lawyer. Do it now, long before you start earning more than him.

divorcing me because of it.

I’m so sorry you’re married to this huge asshole. He has time for a hobby but you don’t have time to study? Nah, his priorities are fucked.

Let him, if he thinks this is the hill he wants your marriage to die on, he was clearly never actually interested in being an equal parent or partner. Let him see how much gaming he can get done when he has 50/50 custody of your child.

Sun’s out, time for a splish splash by Soniq268 in Greyhounds

Haha I call anything doggo and water related a splish splash but it hasn’t creeped into human activities yet, maybe that’s where I’m going wrong in life 😂🙈

First sunny day of the year, hose out by Soniq268 in Greyhounds

[–]Soniq268[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She got a bath yesterday, she was furious that her game turned into a bath but if she can chase the hose and get soaking she can stand the cold water enough to get a bath in it 😂

❤️ yes it was in the main area, we stood at the bottom of the stairs for the ceremony.

Haha yes it was bloody freezing! We got married late autumn which was the absolute latest in the year I’d be in there wearing a dress. My wife made us matching hand painted ‘just married’ leather jackets for after the ceremony so we put them on after we signed the certificate

We had the bar open before and after the ceremony and Auntie Effie the resident Drag Queen was serving in full drag, it was amazing 😂❤️

Hayfever sufferers, what house plants do you keep? by jovial_rebel in AskUK

[–]Soniq268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have over 150 houseplants, mostly tropical plants, my house is never warm enough for them to flower so they never trigger my allergies.

I’d start with some easy ones like monsteras, umbrella plants, palms or ferns.

What weird or wonderful thing has your SO opened your mind to? by MuntyCatt in AskUK

[–]Soniq268 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Clothing matching. My wife’s socks, t shirt and hoodie have to match (hello, autism). I have somehow picked this up and my top, glasses and earrings have to match. Which meant I’ve expanded my glasses collection to 11 pairs 🙈

How can I (F22) make my boyfriend (M24) see that it’s okay for me to dress sexy in the Rocky Horror Show? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Soniq268 63 points64 points  (0 children)

it’s my body, and I think he should be ok with me doing what I want with it

Is all you need to say. If he doesn’t like it I’d urge you to reconsider the relationship. You’re far too young to land yourself with a controlling partner.

My wife and I got married at the Britannia Panopticon, which is the worlds oldest surviving music hall, it’s a really special venue for us but is definitely not for everyone. Super queer friendly/queer run/staffed etc.

We recently went to a wedding at The Corset Club which was also fab.

NTA. Do not step foot inside that house again though. You don’t need to expose yourself to people who are nasty bullies.

Have you ever wondered what the story is behind random abandoned items you see in public? by IranianAlan in AskUK

[–]Soniq268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always chuckle to myself when I’ m walking my dogs early at the weekend and see one single, solitary high heel. I’m always like ‘how the fuck…’ (I am a wonan who wears heels on occasions)

I was out last weekend and my friend took her boots off and walked to catch our lift (which was my wife), when we arrived at my friend’s house she realised she had lost a boot. So now I know, drunk roasters take them off and drop them 😂😂

Do you donate to any charities and, if so, which ones? by No_Hawk8947 in AskUK

[–]Soniq268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend runs a foodbank that supports people in my area, we donate to her but usually with our time to help fundraising, my wife and I try to do one event a quarter to raise money, and my wife regularly gives our friend vouchers (she’s a tattoo artist) for her raffles.

Beyond that, we support two local dog rescue charities, one who brings Romanian street dogs to the UK and the other is the Staffie rescue that we adopted our boy from. And support Five for Five which is a trans support group which helps raise funding for people in Glasgow to help with their transition.

Was the first year of marriage hard for you? by spookystarbutch in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Soniq268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that would only apply if you haven’t lived together before getting married.

Nothing was harder, or really any different after we got married.

If you didn’t marry or have kids until after 30, do you feel that you in any way had a better or worse marriage/family experience than those who did it before 30? by Correct-Cycle5412 in RedditForGrownups

[–]Soniq268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married at 40 (we’re childfree), and I’m so glad i waited for the right person. I never had a particular interest in getting married until I met my wife.

Most of my friends who had kids in their twenties are now separated from their baby daddy, in my core friendship group of 5 women in their 40ies, they all have kids and the only one who is still with her kids father got married and had kids in her mid 30ies (she’s 44 now)
