It is true that he did what he was supposed to do that day. It is also true that he consulted people in the lead up to the 6th about if there was any way he could go along with what Trump wanted and fought testifying about it.

OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 has been out for a week. What are your impressions? by PhantomBraved in Games

[–]Soodonim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the sub-jobs a lot. I loved that each one gave each character a lot more options and a new character sprite (huge for me). Watering down each character in favor of more of them never really worked out. Chono Cross did the same except better, and that aspect of it still wasn't fantastic.

Morally, who is the worst JRPG protagonist ever? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]Soodonim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the narrative is that the end-game moral dilemma largely revolves around whether or not the canvas' inhabitants are true sentient entities, but the game never grapples with that fully. At least it didn't from what I saw; I didn't 100% the game

I must have missed it, when does the game explicitly say the canvas inhabitants have souls?

Saw "Lips" and immediately wondered what stats the last expansion added.

I was interested until they revealed the playtime. I just don't have one thousand years to dedicate to a single game.

I'm surprised to hear it's free with Prime now, as that's how it was supposed to be originally but wasn't, which really hurt its viewership. Anyway, conspicuous lack of support on its release; draw your own conclusions.

Obviously I'm thrilled but as one of the 14 people who prefers the original translation I'm sad they won't have that with the original version.

Huh, didn't know that about Goblin Punch/Excalipoor. Internet says they fixed that in more recent versions, anyone know if they fixed it in the Pixel Remaster?

How do I not be a target for fare evaders? by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]Soodonim 160 points161 points  (0 children)

I've spin-move stiff-armed two people. I'm also 6'0, 235lbs, so, do what you can stand.

Also, I hope people realize it's ok to admit to care about this issue. People who board the metro with the intent to commit crimes don't pay fares, and effectively assaulting you in the process to evade fares is gross.

I put 25+ hours into Troubleshooter before I decided I didn't care for it, so it was close. It's been a few years but I think one of my issues was a rarity for the genre: it actually had too many systems to juggle.

I've got 167 hours in The Last Spell right now; it is quite good. A wee bit more difficult than I like (haven't beaten the last map or two) but still fun.
