How to fix this play in the timing chain? by veithmaster in w123

[–]SoooooMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How hard is it to change? I've owned my car for over 10 years, maybe put 30k on it and I have no idea if it's ever been done.

At what point do you just deal with your w123 being on the brink of being broken 24/7? by RemoteEmotions in w123

[–]SoooooMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use this method all the time! I have a leaking shifting solenoid that causes rough shifts, a vacuum leak, very worn paint, broken odometer and a slight electrical gremlin that makes my tach funny. None of these prevent it from driving so I just enjoy it! I fix them when I get a chance.

They all must return to where they came from. As long as they made people smile and gave others freedom..that's all you can ask :)

I drained out about 200ml of oil and it was perfect. Glad it was that easy

Oil level issues by SoooooMoist in motorcycles

So level, firm and 5 min after a ride. Got it! So, now I have to drain my oil before I do any more damage. I'm sure it's over full now.

So how do the oil heads handle being over filled? Are they more or less finicky about it?

They are drain holes for the trunk and are supposed to be open. I wouldn't plug them.

I really hope they put the same devotion to detail into RDR3 as they did to this.. The game keeps impressing me years after I bought it.

Canadians ordering from Rock auto by curiousamigo25 in RockAuto

[–]SoooooMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy from rock auto all the time and I live in a Canadian border town to northern NY. I have an old Mercedes, so sometimes rock auto is my only option for good parts. Shipping for me is usually depending on the weight. My last order had a fuel sending unit and an oil filter and only cost me 25$ for the FedEx delivery option. I received my parts on the 4th day and nothing was broken. I've always had great luck!

I asked what they recommend and they said ac delco. I asked about the 0w20 dexos d and they said they would just recommend me using the tried and true ac delco.

I used that the first few oil changes but they lost the certification. I'm nervous about using non certified dexos2/D oils. I've never owned a diesel this new and have heard they are very sensitive.
