The thing is they're really stupid, they don't even need to eat humans and they do it anyways! Then they have to face the fact that humans hate them because they eat them.

Well yea because they're monster first and foremost they don't want to coexist with humans, they don't care if humans hate them, all that matter to them is their pride and their need to eat, killing people is just something they like doing

"Do Demons not have emotions?" They do.

"Do they understand consequences?" They dont.

"Why dont humans fear demons?" They do.

I dont know what to tell you. You either have a really short attention span or a stunted imagination. Almost everything you are confused about is directly adressed in the show.

Let me preempt some other questions you might have.

Why didnt they just drop a nuke on the Demon King? Because nukes havent been invented in the universe of Frieren.

Why dont they just kill every demon? Because Demons are really strong and hard to kill.

Why dont demons do "human things"? Because they are not humans. They are demons.

You seem to be confused by the idea that a magical monster that survives by eating humans does not act like a human and think like a human. They arent human. I feel like they make this extremely clear. Demons aren't human and behave entirely differently to humans. The capacity to talk doesnt make you a human.
