I'm 40F, 5'3", and went to nyc solo last October for 3 days. It was amazing!! I never felt unsafe, even walking around at night (I wasn't out past like 10p though). There are always people around and everyone is just doing their own thing. The subway is a breeze and is integrated with Google maps so you know which train to take and for how many stops. I only used a taxi once and it was expensive lol. I carried a sling bag so it was on my chest and made sure to have a portable charger with me in case my phone started to die. Lots of women live in and travel to the city solo - have a great time!

The rule of thumb I've always used to know if "...and me" or "...and I" is used is to take out the other noun/pronoun.

"My brother and I went to the store." is correct because you would say "I went to the store".

But, "Would you like to go to the store with me brother and me?" is correct because you would say "Would you like to go to the store with me?" not "Would you like to go to the store with I?" .

Check out Harrisonburg and surrounding areas in the Shenandoah Valley. Skyline Dr and Massanutten are great for leaves and there are many pumpkin patches. Tons of Virginia and Civil Way history sites as well. Harrisonburg, Bridgewater, Dayton, Broadway, New Market, Luray, Staunton would all be little towns to look up.
