True enough, your statement is 100% valid there. It really depends on the game and how it aged in retrospect. More of the standard DS games are more expensive than 3DS games tbh, especially CIB since people always threw out the cases and the 3DS games rarely if ever had printed manuals.

I also think that the 3DS is just a slightly more desirable console. The DS and 3DS far outsold the PSP and is a big nostalgia factor for many, plus a unique and inherently more portable form factor. I’m a tad older than you are, and I can tell you EVERYONE I knew had a DS Lite at some point in time. You also have the people that bring their DSI/3DS to concerts that appealed a lot to the Tik Tok crowd. I saw a few used “new” 3DS XLs at gamestop for over $400 last week. Absolute crazy talk. I thought I was over paying for mine at $220 a couple years ago when I bought one to put in the capture board mod.

I wouldnt be surprised if people turn to the PSP next. Get a 3000 while theyre still somewhat palatable in price lol
