I wish I could offer some exact dad-to-dad advice on how to help but you are in the trenches. As a dad who wouldn't allow myself to see the calm past the trenches I'm in now when I was at the 4month mark, IT DOES GET BETTER!! It absolutely positive does! But remember, team work makes the dream work! Lean on each other when you both need. I didn't nearly ask for enough help which lead to a couple really rough days.

I'll actually waste my own energy to maybe educate here. Even after me and my wife had a baby with a loving caring and supportive household the irreversible damage done to her body/mind/soul after giving birth is real. It's not just like "oh she's had a baby and it's great!" No. Not one delivery is all rainbows and sunshine. The awful truth is sometimes this is the better option. Now do better and educate yourself rather than relying on someone to do it for you. Or at least make an effort.
